Student Cooking Challenge with Co Op! | Lifestyle

Hi all, how are we? Sorry for the lack of posts at the moment. I am struggling to get my stuff together, I've got so much I want to post it is just taking the motivation to post! I am finally bringing you a post which has been a long time in the making. A student cooking challenge with
The Midcounties Co-operative, a while back I was sent a box of food and asked to create some awesome meals for you lot and share how I got on. So hopefully you enjoy this post and whether you're a student or not, there will be something for you to enjoy. I will warn you in advance, I am pretty sure everything here is full of carbs!

Breakfast Ideas:
I decided to include some easy breakfast ideas for students and although I am not a breakfast person at all, there are many ideas for you to try for less!

Boiled eggs and asparagus:
One of my favourite breakfast ideas for when I am looking for something a bit more healthy and filling too. You can enjoy soft boiled eggs with the asparagus tips, or you can have it with toast or bread; my favourite is wholemeal toast.

Crumpets:
Crumpets are the perfect breakfast item for students as you can get them when they're reduced in the supermarket and freeze them and then you have a cheap breakfast to go to in a rush.

Lunch Time:

Pasta Salad:
My all time favourite lunch time go to, it is easy to make and cheap. As well as being able to make in large portions. I usually make 3 or 4 days worth for lunches over the week. I buy cucumber, peppers, lettuce, red onion, spring onion and also sometimes put soft boiled eggs in there as well as croutons. As I am a vegetarian, I don't add meat obviously although you can add quorn chicken pieces which are a fabulous addition. If you are not a vegetarian, torn up sandwich ham can work well.

Beans on toast:
Beans on toast is an easy, go to meal. Simple for those on a budget. Co Op does some of the best beans I've tasted and I am very much a heinz person usually. Wholemeal toast again goes well with this.

Dinners:

Stew:
I love to make stew for dinner, especially in the colder months. It is a great investment for any student to have a cooking pot, it is a great for not only stews but casseroles and also curry. I usually grab some veg (go for fresh stuff around 7pm and it is reduced) including a bag of potatoes, carrots, swede and to bulk it out you can buy a bag of frozen mix. I usually make it up with gravy and add some pearl barley. During the day I live it on whilst at uni and then come back add some dumplings and then leave for a further half an hour. This is perfect for freezing and then leaving for as long as you want.

Mushroom pasta with mozzarella:
This is one of my all time favourite meals to go to. I grab some large mushrooms and chop them into chunky pieces, grab a jar of my favourite pasta sauce, some herbs and mix together. Add some pasta and then rip up some fresh Mozzarella for the top. Perfect.

Risotto:
I love risotto for being able to make it so simply, and just make it out of whatever you want. I usually go for mushroom but there is SO many amazing combinations out there. This is a perfect meal for making in bulk and freezing also.

If you are a student you are able to grab 10% discount on food!

#IWouldMiss! | Lifestyle

Hi all, how are we doing? I hope you're well. Today I am bringing you something a little different which I hope you will enjoy just as much as my other posts. The post is all about things you would miss if you lived in a remote region and I thought it would be fun to add my own little spin on to the post. Flogas recently put together a survey finding out what people would miss most if they moved to a remote location. Some of the things which people miss include Smartphones, gas and electric. BUT 80% of the people surveyed reckon they could cope living remotely. Could you do it? So what would I miss living in a remote area?

Takeaway:
This one had to come first being the absolute takeaway fiend that I am. I couldn't imagine not being able to order a Dominos or a Subway to my front door.

Mobile Data/Wifi:
As a blogger I think most of us would suffer with this, I am FOREVER on my phone, checking emails, blogging, updating social media and I could not imagine being able to do this or hardly ever being able to do this.

Restaurants/Bars:
Similar to the takeaway thing, I am a huge food fanatic and I am always eating out, I could not imagine going weeks without being able to do so. Same with bars I love to go out and drink cocktails, life would be strange without that.

My friends:
I am with my friends a lot,  and I could not imagine going weeks without seeing them. As I am unable to drive I think I would feel stranded away from everyone.

I would love to know in the comments what YOU would miss if you lived in a remote location!

5 films you NEED to watch! | Lifestyle

Back in November of last year I did a post about my favourite documentaries of all time, and it was SO popular I decided I would bring you a film version, including my all time favourite films that you NEED to watch, like right now. I am the biggest fan of Netflix, Sky and also Amazon for my documentaries on demand I couldn't imagine a life before them, the days of Blockbuster are well and truly gone, I mean how can you binge watch if you have to keep going out to get more of them. I love being able to sit in front of my TV and just watch programme after programme. I am bringing you this post in collaboration with Contact Numbers who are the BEST for providing you with an access to so many numbers you may need including Sky and Amazon. Contact numbers also created a list of films and television shows that they think you need to watch, to see their recommendations check them out here.

Mean Girls:
Mean girls can basically be classed as a classic right? It's such an amazing film which I have watched over 50 times and I am not even sorry about it, I couldn't imagine growing up without being able to relate to this film for so many things including everyday life quotes. Growing up wanting a life like Regina's including her bedroom.

10 Things I Hate About You:
I watched this film in school in one of the lessons where they stick a on DVD and just make you watch it for something to do. I loved this film for so many reasons, one of the main ones was Heath Ledger. What a gorgeous man. Also the fact that feminism was a HUGE element of this film and to be honest how kick ass is Kat?

Inside Out:
I've only seen this film a couple of times but it has stuck with me, I relate so hard to Sadness, I am pretty sure she is my spirit animal. It's such a fun and feel good film.

500 Days Of Summer:
Such a unique concept to this film, a romcom that doesn't end with happiness, I personally didn't know that was a thing but apparently it is. I love watching it and Zoey is such a fabulous actress, she is the perfect person to play this part. I love the idea behind the film and it is ace that the film has such a 'different' ending.

How To Be Single:
I saw this film on the way to America over the summer on the plain and it was one of the best films I've seen for ages. It is a great film to make you feel better. Without giving too much away it is basically a film about how to be single.

Things I've Been Loving Lately #2 | Lifestyle

Hi all, how are we? I've put the Lets Talk posts on hold for the moment I as I have SO much more content to put out and I am just not feeling the serious styled posts as I've pretty much talked about everything there is to talk about. So today I am bringing you another things I've been loving lately post and this will include just about everything from TV shows to things I've bought! I hope you enjoy this post and let me know if you want me to keep creating them!

Mini Cheddars:
Holy hell, I've fallen SO in love with these bad boys, I have pretty much been living off of these for the last few weeks I cannot imagine a life without these in!

Hollywood Mirrors:
I've been addicted to these mirrors, they have AMAZING lights on which makes doing your makeup so much easier *hello flawless foundation* and the style of them makes me want to buy them all, I definitely need one for my bedroom. Totally adding one to my Christmas list!

Freakshakes:
I've been a little bit obsessed with these for sometime, but since The Bear Grill in my town started to sell them, my addiction has become that little bit stronger. They have just added a NEW salted Caramel one to their menu, gotta try that soon!

Retro Sweets:
I recently got sent the coolest jar of retro sweets and it is MASSIVE, I've been making my way through so many old favourites over the last few weeks. Palma Violets anyone? I've recently found a site which sells wholesale sweets in other words SWEETS IN BULK. Where you can relive your childhood dreams and also perfect for Christmas presents.

Candles:
I've recently been working with a couple of brands in America who offer shipping to the UK and that means I've been able to place HUGE candle orders, and lets face it Bath and Body works offer well better candles than the UK.

Audrie And Daisy:
If you haven't seen this documentary I am pretty sure you've been living under a Netflix(less) rock for the last few months. It's an amazing eye opening documentary and although it had me in tears for SO long, it is so great that people are finally talking. Read more about it here.

The NEW Urban Decay Spectrum Palette
Urban Decay are on FIIIIRE this year with their fabulous new releases, from their massive revamp of ALL of their lipsticks to their gorgeous palettes coming out one after to the other. But as soon as I heard about the Spectrum palette coming out I knew I had to get my hands on it. Luckily for me it came through my door just a few days after coming out. I can't wait to share some fabulous 'out there' make-up looks with you all.

The Blogger Starter Pack! | Lifestyle

If you are a Facebook user, you will have seen these 'starter packs' floating around the internet for some time now, they're usually jokes about different types of people but I decided I would take the idea and create a blogger starter pack of all of the things bloggers 'need' (of course, you don't actually NEED these things to be a blogger but they sure do help). I thought it would be fun to create a little starter pack of my own, it would be super fun to see in the comments what you would include in a blogger starter pack.

A comfy office chair:
To start off this starter pack, I decided I would include a comfy office chair. Without one of these sitting a PC writing, editing and just doing general blogging stuff is a bit of a nightmare. I've previously bought chairs which are great for giving you the perfect aesthetic but really end up hurting your back. I recently decided to purchase myself a new chair, and their are some fabulous office chairs from Furniture at work which do more than the job. Now just to convince my office to do the same!
A camera:
When starting out as a blogger, everyone seems to use their phones especially if they don't know if they are going to be in blogging for the long haul or just a little while. I started out using my HTC and now looking back the photos were something else *awful* recently since I've upgraded to a new camera my photos are SO much better, I've got the best compact camera from Panasonic and it perfect for carrying around everywhere and my photos are now SO much more crisp. Although sometimes my Iphone 6 has to do for Instagram photos.

Lights:
This is a more recent investment of mine, but I have regretted not getting them sooner. Winter is a bloggers worst nightmare as there is literally NO natural light to take any photos. Without the natural light, photos are a lot harder to edit. I couldn't imagine not having the lights now, especially during winter as they look a lot more professional. You can get some fabulous ones from Ebay on a budget.

Photoshop:
I picked Photoshop simply because it is my photo editing software of choice, being a film student has given me the advantage of having some previous knowledge in Photoshop. I couldn't imagine life without my lovely Photo editing suite. There are some great free alternatives out there also like Pic Monkey.

#LoveAtFirstBite with Chicago Town + Win! | Lifestyle

I love pizza. That is a fact. I love that you can buy boxed pizza which tastes just as good as takeaway pizza for the fraction of the price. I love how pizza brings people together, as it is totally made for sharing. I love how pizza can cause one of the biggest debates of the year, does pineapple blog on pizza though? (clearly not). I love how pizza can have so many different toppings and yet still taste the same sort of goodness. I love how much cheese on pizza, it makes it sort of acceptable to eat an unholy amount of cheese and not feel guilty, win. I love how Chicago Town send out the coolest boxes filled with pizza goodies and shades with pizzas on! If you fancy winning yourself a pair of pizza shades with Chicago Town all you need to do is buy one of their gorgeous pizzas from your local supermarket and input your unique code online and you could win a pair of the limited edition pizza shades and if that isn't enough if you jump into their online photo booth, upload a selfie and add tons of fun stickers to it you could be in with a chance of winning some fabulous prizes such Spotify premium passes, Polaroid cameras and headphones as well as of course a pair of their super fun shades. Rumour has it even Caspar Lee has a pair! I thought i'd share with you some fabulous pictures I took on my Polaroid with my cool shades.

USA Autumn Haul | Lifestyle

Can I just say I am actually so proud of the photos in this post and I am pretty sure that they are my favourite set that I've ever taken. It's October which to me as is basically all about Halloween, it is dark so much earlier, it is acceptable to crack out the pumpkins, and scary decor. With this is mind and with the help of Vyking Ship I was able to do a Halloween haul in the states (lets face it the USA do it better) and get it sent straight to my door! So for the haul I knew I wanted autumn/Halloween themed goodies, and I knew straight where to go to start, Bath and Body Works. When I was in the states back in August I missed the autumn/Halloween stuff by a few weeks so I knew I had to grab some of the gorgeous items they have to offer. Including 3 mini candles, 5 hand sanitizers and a body lotion. I wanted some of the bigger candles but was worried I wasn't going to like them and didn't want huge candles which I didn't enjoy. I am totally regretting this now as I actually love them and have nearly burnt them all out. I will probably place another order when the Christmas candles come out, as they're pretty much better than anything we have here, *sad times*. The hand sanitizers are always a win from Bath and Body works because even if they don't smell great in your opinion someone else will snap it up within seconds, I am constantly sharing them out!

Bath and Body Works Halloween

Following this I was looking around all of the shops online for different Halloween themed sweets and finding the best offers, when browsing Walmart I found these yummy looking packs of Candy Corn and Autumn Mix, and I knew I had to pick them up. Along with a massive bag of sour patch kids (although these aren't being feature because they'd ruin the aesthetic #bloggerprobs! One of bags is just full of candy corn *dribbles* and the other contains a mix of candy corn, cola flavoured candy corn and pumpkins, I will probably use the mixed bag in another post with a pretzel idea I have seen online that I just HAVE to try!

Now on to the way the shipping works, so what happens is when you're ordering something online instead of inputting your own address you input an American address which is provided to you by the shipping company, and then the mail gets forwarded to them, it is so much cheaper than getting it sent direct and also works well if the shop you want to order from doesn't ship to the UK. When the parcel arrives into the warehouse you will get a choice of what to do with it, as I was testing out the method of shipping I chose to see my items beforehand, as well as compressing the packages and getting a customs slip filled out beforehand. It is super useful to get the items photographed as you can check they're all good before getting them shipped out and also check they're not broken before transit etc. When I checked my items over I picked my shipping method which I went with USPS 3-5 day option which cost around $87, which isn't cheap at all but for the amount of time it took it is totally worth it. I would recommend if you want something for a particular time to prepare well in advance for cheaper shipping. I did not get charged any customs on my order which I was super happy about also.  I would totally recommend Vyking on the premise you get to pick what you want with your shipping extras and other places can add it in without your say. Use 7410 for your $5 off your first shipment also!

My Pop! Vinyl Collection! | Lifestyle

Hi all, how are doing? I am super excited to bring you this post and I've wanted to share it with you all for so long, but I've just been mega busy plus I wanted to make my collection a little bigger first. At the start of this year I decided I would start collecting something alongside Tsum Tsums and I had heard a lot about Pop Vinyls in the past and when I was in Forbidden Planet I purchased my very first one, Sadness. I later found out that she is limited edition which made me even happier. I've not been as much of an avid collector as I would like to have been but I have recently treated myself to some so I thought I'd share them with you as well as the ones which I have previous gotten from Pop In A Box and also from Vanilla Underground

Amy Winehouse:
I fell in love with this Pop instantly, everything about her in this figure rings true to me. From the hair to the fact she is holding a microphone. I fell in love with her music when she was alive and I think this is a perfect addition to my collection.

Inside Out:
I am so in love with the film Inside Out and I am constantly being compared to Sadness by my boyfriend, the film is great and I knew I had to get some of the Pops from the collection. I decided to get these three as they adorable and really show of their characters. I need to purchase Anger and Fear soon too.

Mean Girls:
When I heard about this collection coming out I knew I needed all four them. Although I wish there was a Damien one too. I first purchased Regina and Cady when in Forbidden planet and then Gretchen in Target when I was in the states. Ever since I've been looking for a Karen, and I finally found one and have completed my collection. There is something super satisfying about completing a set of something.

Ariel:
I am super sad to say I only have one Disney princess, the best one in my opinion though. I totally want to get collecting all of the Disney Pops although it may take a LONG time. I think Belle or Snow White should be next.

Ron:
So Ron actually came into my collection accidentally, when I first started up my Pop In A Box collection I ended up leaving Ron on by accident (not a massive Harry Potter fan, soz guys) but he is pretty adorable and I wouldn't mind getting Harry too!

Batman:
Batman originally started out being Lukes pop but he couldn't be bothered to collect them anymore so he ended up being part of my collection. I think he looks super bad ass though.

I am going to start collecting the friends ones next, which Pops! are your favourite?

6 Things About Moving Into Your Own Home | Lifestyle

A bit of a different post today, I thought I'd break up all of the Halloween stuff which has been going down on Dungarees & Donuts and feature something a little bit different. Most of you are probably aware if you follow me on Twitter, in July I moved into my own house and it is one of the best feelings in world. I thought I'd share some of my first thoughts, feelings and other stuff which you will go through when moving into your own house! P.S. it's okay to need help or feel like you're never going to be unpacked for a while. Just take a breath, you've got this!

1. Ikea will become your new best friend, I don't even say this lightly. Moving into a house is expensive especially when you have no furniture, can life be like The Sims please? Wouldn't mind a games machine and a new bed.

2. You will be unpacking for the next ten years, *ok more like 3 months* basically the same right?

3. You're gonna be so skint for a while, moving into your own house is the best feeling and also the worst. Waiting for the wages to come in each month seem to be further and further apart. It's okay to get some additional help for a while. Vivus are a short term lending solution and perfect for those who need to borrow a little bit of extra money until Payday (Only take what you can afford to pay back, of course!)

4. You'll develop your own ways. You know how when you live at home and your parents have their systems and ways of doing things? When you're younger you think they're just doing it to be annoying but you soon realise it's actually for a reason.

5. You can do what YOU want. A bath at 3am? Why the heck not. A whole room for your shoes, you can so do that. You can design your kitchen how you want it, you can make your house look and feel amazing.

6. Bills are crazy expensive! After living in a student house to moving into your own house which involves lots of bills including council tax *ouch* it sure does take some getting used to that's for sure.

What are your tips for people moving into their first home?

Yankee Candle Melts Collection | Lifestyle

This post has been a long time coming, I just wanted point out before I start this post; yes I am addicted to Yankee Candle wax melts and I think they're the best invention as far as candles go. As I am SO indecisive, they give me the freedom to try all of the Yankee Candles! Plus since this post has been written I've gotten at least another 20! *Whoops*

Around two years ago Stafford finally got a Yankee Candle shop and I couldn't help but wander in there as I've wanted to go in a Yankee Candle shop for so long and that is where my addiction started. At first I would buy the small jar candles but that addiction became expensive and for a student I needed a cheaper way to to fund my addiction (we're still talking about candles here) and one of the ladies in the shop introduced me to the wax melts, which just made perfect sense get for someone who loves to constantly mix up their fragrances as well as have a lot of them. I am currently burning Forbidden Apple and it is insanely good and I need jar of it before Halloween is out!

The last of the summer candles:
Over the summer I stock up on so many candles as they are always sweet and fruity, and I have bought more than one of each of the ones featured. Summer scoop has been my scent all summer long, it's so beautiful and sweet. Citrus tango is a melt which I purchased in a haul from the states and Pink Sands and Turquoise Sky are firm favourites of mine.

Yankee candle wax melts

Autumn is here:
I am super ashamed to say I only have three autumn/halloween candles currently, but this needs to change ASAP. I love the dark scents and the colours of the melts which are used around Autumn. Forbidden apple smells a lot stronger than I thought it would and ghostly treats is such a gorgeous and fun fragrance. I've seen one which smells like Candy Corn which is my next must before Halloween is out.

The food ones:
When trying to decide how to categorise these I decided to with food/drink as they all have that as a theme. I am seriously in love with Juicy Watermelon (another summer fave) and also Sea Salt and Sage (I have burnt through a large candle of this already this year). Jelly bean is a must have for anyone who loves the sweeter fragrances in life and Vanilla Bourbon is perfect for relaxing after a long day.

What I've Been Loving! | Lifestyle

Hi all how are we? A little bit of a bonus post for you all this week. I've been having a bit of a tough time for a few weeks and taken a bit of a break from blogging (although you wouldn't of noticed as I schedule for months in advance) and now I am back into it, I literally cannot stop writing for the life of me. I have done one of these posts in the past and I loved to write it and it is still a really popular post so I decided I would do one again. I think it works quite well to do a bit of a wishlist within these posts as well as some blogs/websites I've been loving too. I hope you enjoy reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Shaun The Sheep Tangle Teezer:
When I saw this I knew I needed it my life, Tangle Teezer are a must have hair brush for anyone with thick hair, and I love that they now make compact ones which are lightweight and perfect for on the go. I am always using mine when I'm at work or in town, and I love the design as it is just so fun and nostalgic!

Yankee Candle:
Since the Halloween candles have come out I cannot stop sneaking into Yankee Candle to purchase new melts and decide on which Halloween jar I need to buy. I have to been in there at least 5 times in the last two weeks. I am so indecisive and it smells so good in there!

Going Vintage:
Since I went to America, I have gotten the thrifting bug! I went into some amazing shops out there and even found myself a J Crew hoody at a bargain $5! Although England is a bit rubbish for thrifting especially if you live in a town where style is not really a thing *soz Stafford* BUT I have found an alternative which is finding gorgeous vintage pieces on a website called Rokit which is where I found the gorgeous neon pink Moschino jumper dress.

Roller Skates:
Since watching Whip It last week I've want to start roller skating, I would probably be terrible but I came across this site Proline Skates and they have the COOLEST skates, including pink and blue ombre ones! Does anyone else do Roller Derby or just skate for fun? I'd love to know more about it!

Sass and Belle Mugs:
If you haven't heard of Sass and Belle, you are clearly missing out on all things cool! A website full of gorgeous goodies to make your house all pretty as well as your life. I recently went shopping on their website and bought some university house staples. Whilst I was on there I saw some gorgeous mugs and I knew I had to get them.

Freakshakes:
I was recently introduced to these by my best friend Rob, we are huge fans of eating out and being unhealthy *oops* and he showed me this gorgeous place called The Bear Grill in Stafford which sell amazing milkshakes with a twist, they are super massive and covered in lush stuff. I usually go for a Mint Choc which is lots of cream, Aero bubbles and a cookie!

When Is It Time For A Friendship Break Up? | Lifestyle

Break ups hurt no matter who they are with. It hurts knowing you once trusted that person with so much and now they wont even say hi to you in the street. In my years as a teenager I always believed my friends were there for me no matter what, in years to come we will still spend hours laughing and crying together. Reality hit, that didn't happen at all. I don't speak to anyone from school, and the cruel reality of that is life doesn't always go the way you want it to, and actually people can be really shitty. People fall out of love with each other whether that is friendship or love. It hurts so much when a friend walks out on your life so easily, just like a break up it makes you wonder why you were never good enough. Spending weeks, months even years wondering what you did wrong, just like a relationship you probably won't get the answers. It took me a long time and I am still coming to terms with the fact that maybe I just open myself up to crap people and they just let me down so much that 'breaking up' was the only way.

It has taken me until 21 to realise it is actually okay to stop being friends with someone if they treat you bad, even if you have 10 years of history. People change, some grow together and some grow apart. I feel like I have felt this far too much, I put so much out there that when it comes to it; that person isn't willing to catch me. I am still like this now but I am more wary of people and their intentions. I am forever wondering what people do to make friends for life and why I always seem to not be good enough for that. One day I hope I make a friend who will stick by me through thick and thin as I am not sure I have found that; maybe I never will. Who knows. It is important to remember if someone is treating you bad that you don't ever have to stand for that, you are worth more. I didn't know until recently that a lot more people than you realise go through this.

If you are ever struggling to decide whether it is worth staying friends with someone just think about the last time they put the effort in to see/speak to you, and if it is always a one sided friendship. Then I'd totally recommend walking away. If you do find a good friend who has your back and is there for you through it all, hold on to them with both hands, you do not know how lucky you are.

My Phone Case Collection | Lifestyle

Before I start this post, I want to state YES I have unholy amount of phone cases, I spend far too much money on them but I had such a bad phone for so long that when I got an Iphone the addiction started and now it won't stop. I love my phone cases and will keep collecting them all and I surprisingly use them all a lot more than you'd think. I hope you enjoy this post and I will try to remember where they all came from!

For those of you who haven't guessed from this blog and my style in generally, I like to be quite out there. Which includes my taste in phone cases, the brighter the better. I tend to go for stand out phone cases as I find them the most fun and they also protect your phone *bonus*. Even the smaller hard cases are fun and out there, it's just who I am. Now on to where you can buy the cases:

The chocolate cake, fries, pizza and burger cases are all from Claires and as far as I am aware they are still available to purchase. The hot dog one is from Paperchase but I did buy it many months ago so I am not sure it will still be around.
Next on the list are the cute phone cases, random and not really categorised but I thought they had to be shown anyways. The Minnie Mouse case is from Ali Express, and still available to purchase. The seal and cactus phone cases are from Claires, again. Basically if you are looking for a cute case go to Claires. Not very similar but equally as cute, a cactus phone case is available here. The seal is no longer available.

On to the plastic ones, I am in love with these cases so much. The first one in the picture is from Skinny Dip and it is so amazing and colourful. When I looked on their website I could only find it in an Iphone 5c, but if you fancy it the link is here. Next up is the unicorn case and I have no idea where I purchased it from but I know you can buy similar here. Next is the Sushi case which I think is super adorable and a total steal in the Topshop sale, it cost me £2.00! Was tempted to buy a back up too because it is SO cheap. Moving on to the unicorn which is throwing up a rainbow, this one was from Ebay and I just searched cute cases. Next this case was from ASOS in their sale many many months ago so I can't actually find it, *sad face* but I love this one for when I fancy a more chill simple phone day. Finally on the plastic cases is this super fun Snow White case, as you can probably tell where her hands are would be where the apple logo would be. You can get these in all different phone sizes as well as a variety of characters from here *pssstt they're all under £3*

The final three cases are all drinks cases, I love all three of these a lot and they're the most used in my collection. The first phone case I bought for my Iphone 6 was this Starbucks styled case and I believe it was from Ebay, although you can purchase them anywhere. Next is the boys tears case, which I honestly cannot remember for the life of me where it came from. It is likely it came from Ali Express but you can search on there and the results are endless so I am sure you'll find one you love. Finally is the lovely Brain Freeze case from Claires again from the Katy Perry collection. I am in love with this case and it is so fab and colourful!

Where do you buy your phone cases from?

Why You Need To Budget As A Student | Lifestyle

It's quickly approaching the start of the semester at university and within the next week or two everybody who is living in halls will have moved in, and those of you who are living in shared accommodation with friends will also be moving in if you haven't already. If you are a first year student this post is something I wish I would have had during my time in first year, if you are a second or third year this post will still hopefully give you an insight into budgeting. First things first I thought I'd share my biggest insight into budgeting and saving that I have recently come across. Keep track of your money by writing down what you are spending. Many people will try to estimate how much they are spending during the month by adding up how much they think they are spending in their head. But in actual fact many people are spending a lot more than they think as they are forgetting things they have spent their money on. I would forever spend, spend and spend more and then when it came down to checking my bank balance, I’d be SHOCKED that I had zero funds left despite thinking I would have a couple hundred. Oops

Shepherds Friendly Society has created a university student budget planner which is printable and perfect to stick to your noticeboard or pop in your notebook. The planner includes 4 easy to break down columns where you include what you have coming into your account and what you have going out as well as how much you are really spending. The key with this is to be honest,; there is no point in lying to yourself about what you are spending, if you spend £100 on nights out a week you need to write it down. For the first few months it is worth checking out your spending habits and seeing if they are long term or just one offs and then working out what needs to change if you are going over budget. If you have money left at the end of the month you are doing amazingly! But if you are anything like me, you go over every month. There a few options with this, first being you can get a part time job on the weekends, this helps to supplement your student finance and give you something to enjoy yourself on, or the option is to just cut down what you are spending all altogether. It is hard but it needs to be done. From student to student it is often a good idea to set up a student interest free overdraft, and this is not so you can go mental with your money, more to make sure when you have an unexpected bill that you have the means to pay. I would never recommend using it unless you have to and if you have other options to use those first.  The good thing about having an overdraft means you are able to go into it without worrying about fees and most people are able to pay it off really quickly whether that is with a student loan/grant or a part time job.

Another tip I would recommend is to earn as much money as you can before university an then when you go you are able to have something to live off during your first term as mot people go a little money crazy with their first loan, of course most people haven't ever seen that much money in their bank so it is overwhelming. It is important to remember it is for 3 months and not a week or two. There is also the option of saving up a lump sum before you go to university by opening a stocks and shares ISA.

Yankee Candle Warm Summer Nights Review | Lifestyle

Hey guys, how are we all? Today I am bringing you another collection from Yankee Candle, I will forever feature the best Yankee Candles on my blog as they are always a firm favourite with you lot and it gives me an excuse to keep trying new candles. This time I am bringing you the lovely Warm Summers Nights range and with it being summer I thought it would be the perfect time to feature them. There are four candles in the collection but I am only featuring three of them today. The three I am featuring are Dreamy Summer Nights, Sunset Breeze and Flowers In The Sun. You can also get a fourth called Passion Fruit Martini. I hope you enjoy this review and let me know which your favourite is below. Also as you have probably got from previous reviews I am terrible at describing so good luck with understanding me! If you want to read some previous Yankee Candle reviews I have written about the Riviera Escape, Pure Essence and the Easter Range.

Warm Summer Nights

Dreamy Summer Nights:
A beautiful calming fragrance which is perfect for relaxing after a long day. An underline scent of vanilla with a sweet and calming smell throughout. Yankee Candle say: "A relaxing blend of vanilla bean, heliotrope and a hint of woodiness - it spreads the subtle magic of a warm night in soft bloom." This candle is a seriously good gift for anyone who enjoys the more background candles as opposed to the strong in your face ones. Not too sweet and in your face, the perfect amount of vanilla for a good old relaxing time.

Sunset Breeze:
Strolling along the beach in the evening with the wind through your hair, a refreshing scent for those who love the smell of a sunset breeze. Not overpowering at all. A beautiful tropical smelling candle, perfect for freshening up any room and giving those summer vibes all year round. The smell of mango and peach come out in this candle and leave me craving more.

Flowers In The Sun:
One of my faves out of the three, a super lovely smell of orange comes through. I love the feeling it gives you, this is summer. A perfect floral scent for any floral lover, the candle reminds me of a love child of flowers and fruit. Smells lush and not overpowering at all, perfect for those who love a background candle as opposed to an in your face one.

Haulin' With GoSend | Lifestyle

Recently I was contacted by the lovely Mellisa from GoSend asking if I wanted to try out their service and I obviously agreed! She told me Go Send wanted my honest opinion of their service and to share it with my readers; I couldn't wait to go online and get shopping. The first shop I went to was Sephora of course; I knew there was a new Kat Von D palette out and I had to get it so I spent $49 doing so. Following this, I went on Bath and Body works which is one of my favourite shops in the States and I decided I would pick up some hand sanitizers to push me on until I go. I was tempted by the candles but I didn't want to risk something I hadn't smelt so I thought I best wait. Next, I knew I had to go visit Yankee Candle, as they have the BIGGEST ranges and they always look really cool, I picked up a few bits from there which I am super happy with. Then off to Target I went, this is my go-to place for sweets and gum; I went for a large packet of my favourite gum as well as LOADS of Airheads and some skittles. Finally, I went to Ulta and bought a couple of NYX items as well as my favourite foundation.

Using Go Send:
I've used other shipping services in the past and they are all pretty similar except GoSend has a really cool element where you copy and paste the links of what you want into the ShopAssist feature, as well as typing in any codes and colour/flavour requests you have along with your size if it is clothing and also the price. Once you've finished adding the items you click submit order; if your card details are already on the system you're good to go! Then is the waiting game, dependant on the time of year and also how many retailers you've ordered from depends on the time it'll take to get to the warehouse. I ordered from FIVE so it took over a week but it depends on the place as I said, as the items arrive at the warehouse they take pics and put them in the locker for you which I think is a super cool added feature and it made me even more excited for my items as well as realising how many Airheads I'd actually bought. Once all of the items are there you click release locker and it will send all of your items to be shipped, you pick the shipping which you want it to arrive via also. I went for a quick one and mine arrived within 3 days with NO customs fees. But that changes in order to order so I couldn't say if you were going to get hit with customs or not.

GoSend is a super fun and awesome shopping website which makes you feel like you really are shopping from the comfort of your home. As GoSend is based in Delaware which is a tax-free state all of the prices are cheaper than other places too as you don't get added fees on from that, win-win.

Bath and Body works hand sanitizers

NYX makeup from Ulta

Target Candy

Yankee Candle Wax Melts

To get VIP membership for 3 months on GoSend use the code 'OLIVIAJADE' where you get a discount on shipping as well as access to ShopAssist and 60 days locker storage! Can't say fairer than that right?

What do you think of my haul?

How To Host A Garden Party (Student Style) | Lifestyle

Good morning guys, I hope you're good! Today I am bringing you a post inspired by the amazing weather we've been having this week (it's actually been Summer like for those of you who don't live in the UK) with that in mind I have decided to create a post on how to have a garden party when you are a student; usually garden parties are more upmarket but I have a bit of an idea to make them a little more student like and fun. THIS IS NOT A BBQ because we are better than that (only joking, it can be whatever you want it to be). I recently wrote a post on having the perfect pizza party if you fancy a read of that; click here.

What you will need to host a garden party:

  • Food (get a mix of vegetarian and meat to suit everyone who is attending)
  • A BBQ
  • Adorable fairy lights to pop around the garden! (The Range do some adorable ones)
  • Lots and lots of booze (or do a BYOB message on Facebook)
  • Red cups (to drink the booze out of and play beer pong)
  • Garlands (always fun)
  • Glow sticks
  • Speakers
  • Paper plates
  • Possibly some chairs and tables (depends how fancy you wanna go)
Start with the food, as pretty much every party needs food. Whether you want to go for traditional BBQ such as sausages, burgers and skewers or a something completely different like a vegetarian alternative such as grilled asparagus and homemade bean burgers it is important to make sure your grill is at the correct temperature. Although you want people to talk about the party you want it to be in a good way and not because they've got food poisoning oops. Also make sure safely grill your meat and keep the meat away from the vegetarian food and you should be good. Everyone knows at a BBQ you need extras a way to keep the costs down for yourself would be to ask everybody to bring something themselves from a pot of coleslaw to some pasta salad or even the sausages. It would be a good idea to get a few tables outside one for the food and another for the drinks and if it is a scorcher of a day grab some buckets and fill them with ice (nobody likes a warm drink).

Next, on to the decorations, I would love to create a magical atmosphere for my garden party but you may be totally different. I would cover the garden in pretty fairy lights, give people a garland and glow sticks and just have a fabulous night; I find the atmosphere later on in the night changes as everyone has had a chance to chat a bit more and is full of food. Crack on some tunes and even light a fire if you're feeling adventurous. Smores is the perfect way to end any party!

A few tips:
  • Plan in advance (so people will actually turn up)
  • Let your neighbours know in advance (keep the peace yo)
  • Get everyone to bring something to keep it cheap
  • Create a playlist beforehand
  • Have a FAAAB night!
BBQ expert Harvester recommends:

  • Using The Hand Test to gauge the temperature of the grill if you don’t have a thermometer. Place your open palm about 5 inches above the grill rack. The heat is high if you have to move your hand in 2 seconds, medium if you have to move your hand in 5 seconds, and low if you have to move your hand in 10 seconds. This will come in handy when cooking delicate proteins or vegetables that need a lower heat or starting steaks low and be finishing over a high heat.

I hope you enjoyed my tips and have a fab garden party (P.s. there is a bank holiday on the 29th)
