Lets do lunch at Bills | Lifestyle

Not so recently I went to Birmingham and met up with the lovely Hannah, it's been ages since we met and we decided to do lunch and also a shopping trip. We met around 12pm and spent ages looking for somewhere to eat as we are both fussy (Hannah more so than me!) After walking around Birmingham for a while we came across Bills and saw that they did cocktails and it twisted our arm (although I am not too sure why as neither of us really drink!) but off we went inside as Hannah told me they have a really cool interior which is great for photographing!

Bills Salt and Pepper

When we arrived we were seated in a dark area and it hit that we weren't going to be able to take photos so we asked if it would be possible to be moved near a window which the staff were fine with. We were given a menu along with a set meal choice and later given a cocktail menu. It took me a while to decide what I wanted as I am so fussy with food but in the end I decided to go with the Fish finger sandwich as on occasion I eat fish fingers along with some skin on fries, an orange juice and a Bills pink spritz cocktail. Hannah went for the same cocktail along with a plate of the skin on fries *don't blame her they are gorgeous* we were brought out our drinks pretty quickly, I was the first to try the cocktail which my lord was strong. The orange juice was super refreshing though.

Shortly after our gorgeous food arrived, and I tucked straight in being a bad blogger and not taking a photo first BUT I was soooo hungry. I was reminded by Hannah about photos and let her take some snaps along with taking my own pictures, totally worth it looking back on the pictures. I could totally of eaten 20 plates of those chips, I went through an unholy amount of mayo which Han looked a bit shocked at, okay I LIKE MAYO people! Although I found the toasted bread of the sandwich a little dry it was still really tasty. When we were finished with our mains the man asked if we wanted to see their dessert menu and I looked at Hannah who was like YES! So he came back with the menus, and we both had a hot chocolate brownie which I am not the biggest fan of brownie but I'll make an except as this one was beautiful. With this we got the bill and went on our day of shopping, yay!

Apologies about the super heavy picture post but it needed to be captured to share the beauty of the food! Let me know if you enjoy my restaurant reviews as I love doing them!

Xupes Wishlist | Fashion

It's been many weeks since I've complied a wishlist of some sort and today I am bringing you a fabulous designer bag wishlist from a company called Xupes. If you haven't heard of Xupes before they are are company who specialise in luxury items like bags, jewellery and even art and work on the principals of honesty and professionalism. They sell pre owned as well as brand new items for up to 70% off the RRP. If you know me well you'll know I am a huge bag fiend and I love designer items (if only my bank saw it that way). I hope you enjoy the wishlist of these gorgeous designer handbags which I am lusting over and probably will be for a long time. Let know in the comments which bag is your favourite!

1. Hermes Rouge Vif red Courchevel Vintage Kell:
For a liiiitlleeee £8999 this beauty could be yours, to be fair thought it is vintage and comes in a variety of beautiful colours including a gorgeous lime green, I decided red would work the best as it's the easiest to pull off. But if I was carrying something worth the same amount as a car on my arm I think I'd probably be too scared to leave the house, although this bag is total dreams and looks outstanding I don't think I'd ever be able to afford it but a girl can dream right?

2. Louis Vuitton Brown Monogram Canvas Vintage Alma:
I've wanted this bag for SUCH a long time since seeing it in a film at around 13 years old, it's just appealed to me and become the designer bag I've always dreamed of owning in my collection. The classic Louis Vuitton print which covers the bag along with the classic colours and amazing style. Basically this bag is a classic which I would love to have on my arm. One day... it'll happen ok... it will!

3. Chanel Black Quilted Vintage Maxi Jumbo XL Bag:
Another bag which has featured itself upon my wishlist many times alongside the Louis Vuitton bag, knowing these two designers from a young age has just made my love for them even stronger. I love this bag because it would be easy to pull off with any outfit and the gorgeous gold goes perfectly with the black. It's a more simplistic bag than the other two featured but would still feel like a superstar with it on my arm!

Yankee Candle Riviera Escape Summer '16 | Lifestyle

If you've read my blog for quite a long time you'll be aware that I am a huge Yankee Candle fan and it would seem you guys are too, whenever I post a picture a new candle or the latest collection it gets a lot of likes/views. So today I am bringing you the latest collection from Yankee Candle which is called the Riviera Escape and it features four beautifully scented and lovely coloured candles. If you want to read any of my previous Yankee Candle reviews here is the place you need to look. Let me know which your favourite scent is if you've tried any of them, I'd love to know your opinions too!

Yankee Candle Riviera Collection

The first thing which I find fabulous about this range is the lovely contrasting colours of the summer collection, with the baby blue, peach, lime green and finally white they go together really well. I do have to say I've been burning Summer Peach and Riviera Escape together for the last few days and they go together really well also.

Summer Peach:
I found this to be one of my favourites out of the bunch, it's a sweet fragrance which what I would usually go for, and I wanted to light this one first because of the colour and the name. Yankee Candle refers to this candle as "Ripe peaches straight from the orchard, warmed by the sun and begging for that first juicy bite" I agree with this as it totally smells like peaches and is yummy enough to eat (Yano, if it wasn't a candle...) The only thing I would add is the fact it doesn't smell really strong like peaches only a mild scent and I love the idea of strong fragrances.

Olive and Thyme:
When I first lit this candle I was very unsure of it and to be honest I am still not in love with it, it's something I would have burning in my house but it doesn't give me the usual pleasure Yankee Candles usually give me. It's stronger than the peach candle which is a plus but it's not my cup of tea, it does remind me of being outside and playing near some flowers. Yankee Candle says: "A fresh, herbal scent from the Mediterranean coast with olive leaf, citrus and musk" I do have to say the more I smell it, it does remind me of herbs and a lot of citrus, but still not a huge fan!

Sea Salt & Sage:
When I first read about this scent I guess I was hoping it smelt like that fresh smell you get on a beach when the tide is going out. This to me is the most summer smelling one based on the name, although it doesn't actually smell like that, it smells like something better. I am honestly so in love with the strong smell of this candle, it's crisp, it's strong and it smells divine to me! It has an ever so small tone of salt running through the candle but that's what makes it even more beautiful. Yankee Candle state that the candle is: "Warm and inviting sage mingles with the clean, fresh scent of sea salt…like a relaxing walk along the shore" I would 100% agree with them on this, totally a fresh and clean scent.

Riviera Escape:
This is the candle I expected the most from as it's what the range is named after and I wasn't disappointed, the smell of this is a perfect background scent for any room! With the summer smell present in this candle it totally ties the collection together. The beauty which comes with this candle makes me feel so happy and smells like fresh flowers on a summers day. Yankee Candle say: "A coastal scent of glittering promenades, full with hillsides of beautiful blossoms glowing in the sun".

For any candle lover it's a totally worthwhile collection and perfect for those summer tones!

Dealing with life as an anxiety suffer | Lets Talk

I've been wanting to do a post like this for a while now and I have finally gotten round to it, I firstly wanted to state that just because these things happen to me as an anxiety sufferer they may not happen to you as the illness is different for most people but I thought I'd share my experiences and hopefully help someone along the way to understand that they're not alone. Being stuck with an illness which restricts how you do things and dealing with everyday life, it can often feel isolated, so I thought this may help with that feeling. I hope you enjoy reading, and let me know your thoughts!

1. Queues
Something that should be a simple exchange for most turns into something a lot more difficult, where I am concerned as soon as I join a queue whether that be for food or to purchase something I have to access who I might be served by and then what I can possibly talk to them about, will they judge me? Food is even worse, I have to plan exactly what I am having before I arrive at the till or before the waiter arrives, I often have things I don't like on my food out of being too scared to be awkward and say I don't want that on my food.

2. Nights out
Being a university student, nights out are often on the cards but for me they are my worst nightmare. Having a room crammed with drunk people, often touching you, not being able to break free for air. Feeling stuck and the amount of people who could possibly be judging me, what are they thinking about me? What if I fall over? I am honestly petrified of nights out so much I just don't do them.

3. Stairs
This is one of the worst ones for me, whether it is going up or down them I always plan the worst situation in my head. I may fall on my face, I may trip and hurt myself. What if I fall down the bottom two steps and hurt myself. What if I trip up on the way and slip down them. What are people thinking behind me? I like to walk slow up them to make sure I don't miss any steps but others don't see it that way.

4. New People
This is one of my WORST fears as an anxiety sufferer, I hate meeting new people. You have to introduce yourself, you have to speak to people and what if you mess up? Like what will they think of you? What if they hate the way I am or speak and think I am weird. I recently started a new job and I panicked for almost a week before hand about what the people would think about me.

I hope you found this helpful and also if you want a part two let me know!

Be At One Launch.

A few weeks back I was kindly invited to the opening night of  Be At One in Birmingham, by the lovely Sophie from Big Cat. If you don't know about Be At One, it's a cocktail bar with over 200 cocktails to choose from! When arriving at the cocktail bar as it was the opening night we were given tokens on the entrance to purchase drinks,  Helen and I were given two each which was awesome. The bar itself is underground, which in my opinion is fabulous and it totally wipes out the stereotypes of underground bars being a bit dingy, because Be At One is nothing but upmarket. When looking at the menu it took me and Helen a long time to decide what to have because the choice is crazy, there are cocktails made with just about the evening and even mocktails and other cool drinks (like Milkshake!)

When we first arrived it was still fairly early so it was quite quiet so we picked a table in the corner, the bar had an elegant feel to it which made it feel super upmarket. I was surprised to know the cocktails were very within the price range for most young people and students, as a lot of the time cocktails can be upwards of £10 whereas, in Be at one, there were lots under £10 some as little as £6. When Helen and I finally decided on our first drinks I went for a Candy Pants and Helen went for a Singapore Sling, I really enjoyed Candy Pants as it's the typical drink I would go for. During our time at Be At One, we had lots of friendly staff approach us and recommend different drinks and just ask us if we like the bar. For my second drink, I went for a Chocolate milkshake as I saw one being made earlier and I didn't fancy any more alcohol as I am not great at handling my drinks. Overall I think that Be At One will do amazing in Birmingham as it's in the centre and about a 2-minute walk from the station.

Buying a car (that you love)

Cars, there's something about buying your first car isn't there? I think it's one of those moments you tend to remember forever. Today I decided to bring you something a little bit different today for you; but I think you'll enjoy it, all the same, today's post is all about cars! You're probably sat there thinking that I don't often talk about cars which is true but I do talk about finance and I plan to continue, here on Dungarees & Donuts I find it important to talk about the things that matter. I love talking money saving for pretty much everything so I thought why are cars any different? I have wanted to own my own car for sooo long and although I don't know a lot about cars one of the most important factors for me is colour, being able to get from A to B and have a bit of style to it. I hope you enjoy this post and let me know your thoughts in the comments!

According to research from Creditplus, 50% of women are now buying cars showing that cars are no longer just a 'man thing' but in fact, a thing women love just as much! I love the fact that women are now buying more cars than ever and to find out more about car buying habits in the UK, Creditplus asked me to answer some questions about my own personal car choices.

As I currently don't have a car I can't really talk much about what I currently drive or what I think of it, but I know if I was driving a car now based on my budget it would be a small and probably very old car, which I would rather save for and be able to afford something a lot more stylish! Being a very girly girl the colour of the car is important to me, I would love something pastel coloured or just white as I think they're girly and my style. I have seen some gorgeous Fiat 500s which I totally wouldn't mind! When looking for a car I imagine the inside would be just as important as the outside to me, I love interior and I think it would be important to have lots of gadgets inside, including a good set of speakers, heat up seats and a good colour leather for the seats. Ideally, it would be a newer car as it would be more road-friendly and not admit as many bad gasses into the environment! After seeing many people in my own life using finance to buy a car I would totally look at that option myself, it seems like the best way to be able to purchase a decent car without breaking the bank and paying it back is as simple as phone bill every month.

Creditplus can help you find a car that meets your exact requirements. Whether its price that’s your main consideration, how many miles you get to the gallon or even just the colour, Creditplus will help you find and fund your perfect new car. Comparing over 100 lending options, they'll get you driving away in a car that’s right for you and your budget in no time, yay!

Untrue stereotypes of bloggers | Lifestyle

I've seen a lot of accusations of bloggers in the media lately, and it is super annoying as someone who is a genuine blogger and has a huge love for writing and her own space to do it in. I've seen several different articles about what it is like to be a blogger or what it is like to date a blogger and I can say as a blogger with blogger friends, none of it is true for the most of us anyways. Of course there is going to be expectations to this rule, people who are the stereotype, but it super annoying being tainted with same brush as those people as I am the complete opposite!

Get all ALL of the free stuff for doing nothing:
First and most heard one by myself and one that is totally not true in the slightest, yes we get sent press samples but they are to review on our blog and share with our audience. We spend hours upon hours taking photos, editing them, then writing in depth posts on each item and on top of this we promote it and work very hard on our posts. I've never just received something for 'free' it is always part of a project or given for a reason. Although we get to keep the products and get sent cool releases and other things we have to work for them.

Blogging is easy:
The amount of work which goes into one post will totally argue with the point that it is easy, from photo editing to writing and even thinking of the idea to start with there is so much to be considered and that can take hours, and even days. Although blogging is very fun and enjoyable don't take it as something which is easily done and everyone can do. It takes time, dedication and a lot of effort.

Blogging is so glamorous:
Like everything else, blogging does come with some glamorous elements like events but we have to work to get there, not as soon as you start a blog you get invited to event after event you have to work hard and even then you won't get invited to all of the events. Not all of us get invited to red carpet events or gorgeous parties and even if we do a huge follow up is to be done and we spend a lot of our time taking photos.

We write because we love our blogs:
I am hopeful when I write this that it can stand for most bloggers, I write my blog because I love to write and I love the platform I can have to share my views with the world, whether that be good or bad, a review or a rant or something else, it's my space and the fact people actually care what I write makes me super happy about it.

Taking photos is simple:
The most tasking part of a blog post for me, is taking photos in a cute location which is usually me in a corner of the floor with wallpaper stuck up and running down underneath to look like an amazing surface although it is never what it seems. I spend hours editing the photos after to create a perfect final product and it is definitely not as easy as whipping out my phone, snapping a pic then uploading!

What blogger stereotypes bug you?

Tips For Living In A Shared House!

As a student, you’ll probably spend your first year in university halls. After this, you’ll most likely be heading into a student house, which will usually see you sharing with a number of people. These may be your friends, or they could be complete strangers. Moving in with your friends can often be as difficult as moving in with strangers as it is harder to tell them when they're out of line. Living with your friends can either make or break your friendship. If you're going to be moving in with strangers, these tips could really help when it comes to figuring out your living situation.

Meet your housemates before moving in

If you don’t know the people you’re moving in with or you only have spoken to them online, you’ll need to meet up to make sure you’re all a good fit. If you’re alone and trying to find a space in a house that is already occupied, you should try to get to know the other housemates. This helps determine how you all get on without any pressure, this can help to avoid any tension at a later date.
Share contact details and emergency information
This may seem boring, but it’s important to share your contact details and emergency contacts with your housemates. This will be useful in case of emergencies and even just in day to day situations in case you need to get in contact. Most people tend to just become friends on Facebook, however getting numbers can too be helpful.
Be courteous to each other
Partying together is great, but no one likes the person who blasts music at night when everyone else is trying to sleep. Make sure you all understand each other’s schedules and try your best to live in harmony. Having an overnight guest is generally fine but the situation can turn sour if they’re continually at your property but not contributing financially.

Talk things out
If you feel there's tension building in the house it's worth sitting down with your housemates and talking it out. It may be awkward at the time but it is 10x better than talking about it behind each other's backs and it coming out later. A little tip, being passive never works either, leaving passive notes around will always cause tension.
Devise a schedule
Dishes and other chores pile up quickly when you’re busy and hosting parties can make the house even worse. Agreeing on a cleaning rota so everyone has tasks to stick to will help keep mess to a minimum and prevent arguments. From time to time, it's ok to help your housemates out if you know they're busy and don't really have time to fit in their jobs.

The cooking wars
Cooking should either be done individually or as a group, which saves on costs but demands you all like the same food. A cooking rota can help but some people may want to cook individually – so it’s worth bringing this up with everyone as soon as you can. Sharing a meal once a week can be a great way to speak to each other and also enjoy something different from usual. Each week you can take it in time to host a meal.
Organise bills
Paying bills may be rubbish (and drain most of your student loan) but sadly it’s unavoidable. Students are no exception. Resentment can quickly grow if one of you is slacking or using lots of electricity compared to everyone else, so you’ll all need to have a discussion about how much you’re comfortable paying and stick to a budget. Bills should be paid by splitting the cost between everyone. There are even apps on the market to allow you to split these equally. Or have each person in charge of one bill each tends to keep things fair.

Enjoy yourself
Honestly, living with other people can be a super fun time, after living with your family and then in the somewhat structured living of halls. This is your time to be who you want to be and do the things you won't be able to do when you move out. Parties and all-nighters can be a great way to enjoy your time together.

My Tsum Tsum Collection

It's that time again that my Tsum Tsum collection gets featured on my blog, lately I am forever picking up new ones and I can't help it, I am well and truly addicted! If you missed the first part of the series you can view it here. I just wanted to say two of my Tsum Tsums are missing from the pic as I can't seem to locate them in my room at the moment! Let me know what your favourite Tsum Tsum is!

Tsum Tsum Collection

Timon Tsum Tsum:
I am completely besotted with this cute little Tsum Tsum of Timon, when I was younger I had a super cute toy version of Timon and I wouldn't let it out of my sight. As soon as I saw these in store I knew I had to have him in my life, he has the cutest little face doesn't he?

Tsum Tsum Timon

Baymax Tsum Tsum:
This one is of Baymax in his saving the world form rather than in his nurse form, I love the Tsum Tsum and although somewhere in my room I have the other one I knew I needed both as they're both adorable with Big Hero 6 being one of my favourite films it only seemed right to have them both in my collection.

Tsum Tsum Baymax

Pluto Tsum Tsum:
I picked up pluto randomly as I saw him and he looked super cute, I am planning on collection of the original Tsum Tsum collection and I thought as he was one of the first characters I remember from Disney I needed to have him in my collection.

Tsum Tsum Pluto

Mufassa Tsum Tsum:
How sweet is this little Mufassa? I love this one because of his adorable mane and he looks so happy and sweet and I thought I may as well keep adding my Lion King collection- Simba next of course! I always put him at the top of my stack as that's where he belongs.

Tsum Tsum Mufassa

Daisy Duck Tsum Tsum:
Finally to add to the new collection is the lovely Daisy, I saw her when I first bought my extra large mini mouse Tsum Tsum and thought she was super adorable but for some reason didn't pick her up but during my last trip to the Disney store I knew she had to be mine! I love her little pink bow, it's so sweet isn't it?

3 Must Have Accessories For Travelling! | Travel

If you can’t set off on a holiday or work trip without a stash of your favourite gadgets in tow, keep reading. Here, we take a look at three must-have accessories for all tech-loving travellers. Whether you’re gearing up for a summer getaway or preparing for a work journey, you’ll want to pack these extras.

1. Protective cases to guard your gadgets

It’s all too easy to drop or scratch your favourite tech, especially when you’re travelling. The best way to protect your beloved gadgets is to invest in high-quality cases. By choosing well-designed cases made from robust materials, you can avoid a whole host of tech-related troubles. You should be able to pick out the perfect products online. For example, you can visit specialist websites like Tuff-Luv to find Apple tablet cases and a range of other protective products that feature device fixing mechanisms. These cases, which are available in materials including leather, faux leather and tweed, hold your equipment in place and stop it getting scratched, scuffed and generally damaged.

2. A power bank

Whether you’re making calls, watching videos, taking photos or doing anything else on your phone or tablet, it’s easy to run the batteries down - and when you’re travelling, it can be tricky to find recharging points. By taking a power bank with you, you can ensure you don’t run out of juice while you’re on the move. There are a wide range of models to choose from in different shapes, sizes, capacities and prices. Ultra-capacity versions may be able to charge your phone 10 times or more, but it’s important to consider portability too. Especially if you want to pack light, it’s probably best to steer clear of bulky, heavy designs.

3. Noise cancelling headphones

When you want to drown out chatter on public transport or quieten the sound of air conditioning systems on planes, noise cancelling headphones could be the answer. If you’ve got the room in your luggage, you could opt for luxurious on-ear designs, but if you’re short on space, there are plenty of compact in-ear versions to choose from too. These handy pieces of tech allow you to experience impressive sound quality at much lower volumes than regular earphones - helping to protect your hearing. As an added bonus, they can double us as earplugs if you want to get some rest.

Travel-friendly accessories like these can enhance your trip and help you make the most of your tech while you’re away from home.

Transform your look this summer! | Tips and Tricks

Before you know it, summer will be here, so if you’re keen to give yourself an image makeover, now is the time to take action. Whether you’re fed up of your current style or you’d like to give yourself a much needed confidence boost, here’s how you can transform your look in four easy steps.

1. Ditch your glasses for contact lenses

With so many different frames to choose from, it isn’t difficult to find glasses that perfectly suit and represent your individual style. However, if you’re eager to give yourself a totally new image, you could try ditching your specs for contact lenses instead. Lenses give you the opportunity to free up your face and experience clear vision without the need for glasses. To start off, you may want to try daily disposable lenses. These lenses can be thrown away once you’ve used them, meaning you don’t need to worry about a cleaning routine. You can get daily disposables by visiting your local optician or you can purchase popular branded lenses from an online specialist. For example, you can buy Focus Dailies from Feel Good and have a supply delivered to your front door.

2. Get a new hairstyle

To transform your image, you could go for a new hairstyle. Whether you choose to cut your locks into a cute bob or you decide to add luscious extensions, don’t be afraid to try something new. You could even go for a different colour. From subtle sun kissed highlights to a dramatically different shade, the possibilities are endless when it comes to changing your hair. Although you could do it yourself at home, for best results you may want to visit a salon and speak to a hairdresser. They should be able to give you advice on what hairstyle and colour will perfectly suit you.

3. Switch up your makeup routine

Another way to change your look for the sunny season is to switch up your makeup routine. Trying new products and practising your technique is a great way to experiment with your image. You could learn how to perfect winged eyeliner or teach yourself how to apply lipstick like a pro. Because makeup is temporary, you can keep practising with different products until you find a look that you absolutely love.

4. Upgrade your wardrobe

If you’re stuck in a style rut, treating yourself to a few new fashion staples could help you achieve a fresh look, and as the summer months draw closer, you could use the warmer weather as the perfect opportunity to upgrade your wardrobe. Whether your ditch your skinny jeans for a floral dress or swap your slouchy cardigan for a slick leather jacket, there are plenty of ways you can change your image through the clothes you wear. For inspiration, why not take yourself on a shopping spree or browse your favourite stores online?

Making some of these simple changes should help you achieve your desired look to embrace the summer with style and confidence.

Why Managing Your Money Is Important | Lets Talk

I'm 21 and this is the first year I have finally started to take my own finances seriously, it's not all about spending all of your money on clothes and make up and food (especially food) it's more about saving for my future. Taking any money I earn and taking a percentage of it away and popping it aside for things I may need in the future, whether this be saving for my future house, car or even a holiday I am still keeping that money away for something I may need in the future and I am happy with that. Did you know more time is spent organizing music collections than is spent sorting out pensions!

For the last few years every penny which I earned was spent straight away and although at times that has to be the case for bills and rent, I am trying to be more conscious with the money I spend and trying to stay out of the red. It's important for to remember although I have student money now and two jobs there will be a point when I don't get that student money anymore and I can't fall back on other people wanting them to bail me out. I have to rely on myself and that time has started now. For this post I decided to share some of my top tips for saving with you and hopefully they help you out in some way or another. Did you know 10% adults don't even review their own finances?

Set yourself a budget & stick to it:
The amount of times I've set a budget, and planned to stick to it and within hours I've seen an amazing pair of shoes in the sale and blown a weeks budget in one sitting, it happens we are all human. But it's important to remember that money could be used for something more important. Do you eat lunch out everyday whilst at work? Do you go to the cinema on a weekend? If you want to stick to your budget include it in there, don't feel bad that might be higher at least you're being honest and more likely to live within your means.

Put money aside (change works for this):
My biggest tip for this is to get a tin which you can't open unless you obviously use a method of force, meaning you're less likely going to want to go in there. The idea behind this is to get loose change out of your purse/wallet whenever you get home and chuck it in there, the more often you do it the more that it adds up. I have two separate ones, one for anything over 10p and one under 10p that way it's easier to separate out at the end! Once it's full you take it to the bank or a coin star and you've got some extra money for a rainy day.

Do you want it or do you NEED it?
I am the worst for this, I'll go out and end up seeing things I want and referring to it as needing it and buying it anyways, if you have 50 nail varnishes you do not NEED another, nor if you have multiple jackets or similar t-shirts. Only buy things you need and which you'll use, that way you'll save money cutting out the things you don't actually need.

Keeping on top of your financial admin is important to stay in the green and be great with money, to secure yourself a money worry future when you hit the age of your pension. The lovely people at Standard Life have created a book full of useful little tips to help with savings and being more money aware. Which you are able to download online and I will also be giving away two copies on my Twitter, stay tuned if you fancy winning yourself one. I hope this has helped give you some tips for saving and you managed to somewhat enjoy it!

Battling with Suicide *TW* | Lets Talk

I firstly want to add a trigger warning to the start of this post, I would hate for anyone to be triggered by the post I am about to write, if you think you may be triggered by this post I'd recommend possibly not reading it. Otherwise lets crack on with this post. This is something I've wanted to talk about for such a long time, but it's taken a lot of guts and courage to be brave enough to open up about this. If you haven't already figured it out from tittle, I will be talking about battling with suicide, with my own personal battle as well as just talking about it in general. I hope this post helps at least one person out there.

For hours I was pacing around my room, wondering what would be the most logical next step, my brain was telling me to pick up the phone and call someone, anyone. My heart was telling me this is the end, it's too late to be saved. This wasn't even my first attempt at suicide but it was one that was most shocking to myself as I believed this truly could be the end for me. I took a deep breath and ended up taking a lot of tablets, hoping in some way it would numb the pain which was inside of me, even if it didn't maybe it would be too late and I wouldn't be able to feel anything anyways.

There has been times in the past when I have considered taking my own life, but I've taken to calling the Samaritans or luckily having someone around me who managed to talk me down. This time I was alone, it was real. Could I really do this to myself? By this time I was sobbing and as well as taking tablets, I took to self harming which made it even worse. After several hours, I released the tablets hadn't actually done anything except make me feel sick. So I took to self harming again, and tried to do it that way, and again it did nothing. I must of cried so much and got so tired that I actually feel asleep.

I woke up the next morning feeling rough, my arms were killing and so was my head. But that morning the sun was shining through the window, and it occurred to me that I was still alive, and there was a reason I survived. Although I still felt at an all time low and wasn't sure how I was going to make it passed this, I decided it was time to get some help. I went to my doctors who got me in touch with the crisis team, they visited me a few times a day and made me feel like there was hope and I had people I could really talk to. I was prescribed anti depressants and went to CBT, and although I still felt very alone and like I couldn't do anything, I was alive. I spent many days in bed, wondering what my purpose was. I spent weeks in bed before facing the outside and managed to go to ASDA down the road with Luke.

I feel like a stronger person for what I have been through, and I don't know how I would of coped without my support system. I feel like it was time to share my story with you lot and I hope it helps you to remember you're not alone. It's been over a year now since I last self harmed and I feel good, I am doing okay. I still have awful days where I feel like there is no way I want to be alive, but something brings me up to release I need to be here. If you want to read my post about Self Harm check it out here.

Make over my boyfriends wardrobe | Fashion

I am loving featuring more fashion elements on my blog at the moment, as I am getting more into my own personal style and you lot seem to really enjoy reading about what I love to wear. For today I decided I would do something a little different, a post about all of the staples I would add to my boyfriends wardrobe if I was giving him a bit of a makeover, of course this is simply for a post and I wouldn't force my boyfriend to wear anything he wouldn't want to. Luke is totally into his band tees, black jeans and the odd jumper so this is a challenge for me in itself. I decided to create this into a wishlist styled post sharing what I would revamp the wardrobe with, different staples such as tees and jackets! I hope you enjoy this post and I would love to see what you would have your other half wear if it was up to you.

Add some colour:
The first thing I would do is add some more fun colours into Luke's Wardrobe, it's all black and grey and especially with summer approaching some lighter colours would be good and make some awesome statement pieces. House of Fraser offer an AMAZING range of tees and polos in bright and fun colours!

Make it smarter:
This of course isn't for everyday wear, but when we go out it would be awesome to see some smarter and more formal pieces make an appearance, I would add a couple of smart jackets to his wardrobe too. Topman offer some gorgeous jackets and they're all really stylish and fun.

Add a tie (or two):
I would love to add a tie or two to my boyfriends wardrobe, for when we go to events or parties it would be great to add something a little more smart like a tie and make him look that bit more formal. Dunedin Cashmere offer a lovely range of ties with some fun prints!

I hope you enjoyed this post as it's something a bit different to my blog! P.s. no boyfriends were harmed in the process of making this post.

Gig Memories | Lifestyle

Over the last ten years I've been to many gigs and seen just about everyone I've ever planned on seeing from my teenage years. From Biffy Clyro to Green Day, I am lucky enough to have seen those bands I've admired for many years and feel so satisfied knowing that I've been able to see them stand in front of me and perform. Today I thought I would share with you some of the gigs which are the most memorable to me and why, hopefully you relate to me on some of the bands and have seen them too! Let me know who was your most memorable band to see live.

Sum 41:
In February this year I finally got to fulfil one of the bands which helped me through my tough teenage years and that band was Sum 41, they hadn't toured in many years so when I saw they were headlining the Kerrang Tour I knew I had to go! I had been able to go to a gig for a few years due to my anxiety so the fact I was able to sit at the balcony of this gig it made it even more special for me. I even recorded them playing my favourite song which I won't forget. I wrote a separate post on my gig experience following this which you can read here.

Green Day:
This was a gig which I thought I would never have the chance to go to as the first day they went on sale they sold out within minutes, my best friend was going and I was gutted that I wasn't going as they were my favourite band growing up. It was only when my dad surprised me with the tickets a couple of months later and told me he was keeping them a secret, I realized I was able to see them after all of this time. They did the best performance I have seen any band do to date and it made me so happy to be able to see them live.

Good Charlotte:
Reliving my teenage years back in February of this year and finally getting to see Good Charlotte as they supported All Time Low, although they didn't play as many songs as I'd of hoped to have seen, it was still amazing to get so close to Joel Madden and it made so happy to hear them play the lifestyles of the rich and famous live!!

My Chemical Romance:
Back in 2011 I got to see the amazing MCR tour when they got back together with their latest album, although it wasn't the same as one of the Black Parade tours, it was still amazing. It was great to see Gerard Way and hear him talk about the band and see his amazing new red hair.

Now for your chance to win a gig experience that you will NOT forget anytime soon. The lovely people at Chill Insurance are offering one lucky person a pair of tickets to the sold out Bruce Springsteen live at Croke Park this summer! If you fancy your chances at winning feel to enter here. The competition ends on the 13th of May so be quick!

Alice In Wonderland Urban Eyeshadow Palette First Impressions | Beauty

A few days ago the lovely Alice In Wonderland collection from Urban Decay landed on my doorstep, and I was so excited because I was seriously lusting over the palette and knew with the vibrant and fun colours within the palette that I had to have it. When I opened the packaging and found the gorgeous palette within I was over the room with the colours and the look overall of the packaging. So very Alice esque. The first thing I noticed when I opened the palette was the fact that the open part of the palette opens up similar to a jewellery box, and inside was two doors with a quote from the film on. Once you open the door you are met with a gorgeous explosion of colour and a large blue butterfly which makes it even more appealing. Also there is a large mirror with an amazing framing around with the quote "we're all mad in here" in lovely font on the mirror. The eye shadows are actually in a pull out draw underneath each of the lines of shades is in a theme of a character. The one which I love the most is the Mad Hatter column as they're fun and glittery and I can't wait to experiment with them.

The palette itself gives a very Alice In Wonderland feel to it, with bright colours, fun patterns as well as the quotes which are scattered within. The 3D element to the palette makes it feel that more luxe which is always a bonus. The palette includes 20 never seen before shades, which were created just for THIS palette! If you're not a fan of the bright shades created for the Mad Hatter the palette also includes some softer shades which would be seen upon Alice, so this palette includes something for everybody, yay! The palette costs £43.00 and is available to purchase now.

Overall the palette itself is an amazing purchase and totally perfect for those who like to experiment with colour. If you're a fan of Alice In Wonderland it is a totally worthwhile purchase also.

Wanderlust: 5 places I want to visit! | Travel

I promised that 2016 was the year of travel posts on my blog, so here is another travel post which I am sharing with you lovely lot. This time I am sharing with you 5 places in the world I want to visit at some point in my life, hopefully in the next five years! If you fancy reading more of the travel posts I have shared on my blog you can find those here.

1. Japan
I have wanted to visit Japan for such a long, and the recent need to go is becoming even bigger, everything looks so bright, pretty and fun. Going to Japan just seems like an experience in itself and it is totally different to everything in the UK. Obviously Tokyo would be one of the places I want to visit, but if I was going to go Japan I would want to visit Kinkaku-ji and Kyushu for their amazing landmarks and things to visit.

2. Thailand
Another place that has been on my list for a long time, after seeing many programmes about Thailand and hearing some great stories about things to visit, I want to experience it for myself. Bankok and Pattaya being two of the places I've been recommended to visit the most!

3. Dubai
One which has fairly recently in the last year or two made it on to my list is Dubai, after seeing some of the gorgeous landmarks Dubai has to offer I was sold. Although it's a little different to the others on my list, it's interesting to learn about other places. The Dubai malls looks AMAZING, and i'd totally want to visit there as well as some other amazing places like Kite Beach. On the website Travelbag there are lots more reasons to visit Dubai.

4. New York
I have visited America previously but I am yet to visit New York and this again is another which is fairly new to my list, but it's somewhere I would love to visit. I have seen various videos on New York and seen so many films set there, it just seems amazing! My grandparents have been and recommended it also. I've been to Florida and Pittsburgh but I can imagine NY is a lot more hectic and city like.

5. Rome
I have visited Italy a bunch of times but never made it to Rome, and with Rome being such a beautiful place and known for it's outstanding landmarks it's a place I totally want to visit. Seeing the lovely Fii post about it has made me want to go even more. With so many beautiful things to see and fabulous places to eat, I am totally down.
