The Naked Edit | Beauty

If you came looking for some naked people for this naked edit unfortunately you came to the wrong place BUT if you came to find out about some of Urban Decays best palettes then you definitely have come to the right place. It's no secret that Urban Decay are one of my favourite brands and I love to share their amazing products with you lovelies, and after sharing a pic of my favourite palettes from UD on instagram and it being so popular I thought I'd write a post to go with the picture talking about my favourite palettes. Unfortunately I haven't gotten around to buying the Gwen Stefani Palette yet so that is my next purchase, let me know what is your favourite palette from Urban Decay? P.s. I also know that all of the palettes that are featured are not from their Naked collection but it was a catchy tittle and I thought it fit well.

Urban Decay Naked Edit

So the palettes featured in the picture are:

  • The Naked Smoky
  • Naked 2
  • Vice 4
  • UD Beauty With Edge
  • Naked 3

If you are looking for bright colours you need the Vice 4:
The Vice 4 is full to the brim with pretty shades from bright pink to glittery gold there is something in the palette for everyone, I love this palette as it involves me creating lots of bright and eye catching looks. The Vice 4 is perfect for this time of year as some of the colours are darker and perfect for creating winter looks like the three greens within the palette.

If you are looking for the perfect smoky eye you need The Naked Smoky:
Okay so that's a bit obvious that the palette is used to create smoky looks, but with the variety of brown and black shades within the palette you can create a range of different styled smoky looks and the shimmery shades in the palette mean that you can make the looks a lot less harsh than just using dark shades.

If you are fussy when it comes to shadows you need the Beauty With Edge palette:
The reason you need this palette when it comes to being fussy is the fact that you can pick any shades which you want and create your own palette from dark shades to bright colours whatever shadows you like to wear you can compile your perfect palette from scratch.

If you want all of the pinks you want the Naked 3:
I love the Naked 3 for all of the beautiful pinks which are in the palette and you can create some serious draw dropping looks with the huge variety of colours in the palette. If you are more of a fan of darker shades I am not this palette is for you, but if you love experimenting with the pinks and creating girly looks go for this palette

If you like a mix of shades go for the Naked 2:
Out of all of the palettes I have to admit this is my least reached for palette as it just contains things that others already do, like a range of pinks and browns which is just like two of the other palettes which I already have. If you aren't a fan of bright colours or dark eyes this might be perfect palette for you to dig your claws into!

Why you don't need THOSE people in your life | Lets Talk

Those people. Whether you've known them six months or six years sometimes it's just time to remove them from your life, they drag you down and generally make you feel worse about yourself. You call them your friends but in fact they are just people you are carrying around for safety kind of like that old blanket you still have on your bed because it once gave you comfort. When you're having bad days instead of bringing you up and elevating your mood these people knock you down and make you feel ten times worse than you did before.

Those people will make you feel like you will never be good enough, you'll try be confident but somehow they'll make you feel tiny, those people are not your friends. I believe we used to be friends, I really do but something changed and it's kind of like a break up something just isn't right anymore and that's ok. Those people who cancel on you everytime you are supposed to meet up or just turn up four hours late for no good reason, you don't need them in your life. You deserve friends in your life who meet you when they say they will, and actually try to see you as much as you see them, those are your real friends. When you start loosing more friends as you grow up and you start to feel like maybe it's you, don't feel that way. Some people just aren't worth hanging on to and to be honest they may be there, but they're really not are they. We all have those 'friends' who we don't hear from for months until you write a Facebook status which involves possible gossip and they are suddenly there ready to talk when in reality all they want is the next piece of gossip.

It's important to remember those friends you once had were your friends when you were a different person and so were they. The ones you sat with at school during lunch and who made you smile from day to day, and now you're just Facebook friends and haven't spoke in years there's a reason people drift. Life changes people, you become someone totally different and I know for a fact I have. I've changed my name, I've grown up and I am damn stronger than I was back then and I am a lot different and if those people don't like that, then it's their loss, not yours. Along the way I've also gained some seriously cool friends, ones who have stuck by me when I needed it the most and brought me up rather than down and that is the way it is supposed to be.

I've also made some more friends who didn't make it so far, and became yet more dead weight and although I see them around from time to time you release they were dragging you down and you can't go back there. When you grow up it doesn't matter if you have 1 good friend you don't need lots of 'friends' around you to make you feel good because you can do that all on your own, come on you've got this. Remove those toxic people from your life, because nobody deserves to be treated like a spare part, this is your life and your story and you can make it a wonderful one.

As Marilyn Monroe once said, if you can't handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best.

Creating The Perfect Shoedrobe | Fashion

When planning this post I first thought about doing it in a wishlist style but then changed my mind and thought I'd do something a little different. I decided to create for you lovelies my perfect shoedrobe (instead of a wardrobe it's made from shoes) highlighting the styles of shoes and my dream shoes which would make up my shoedrobe, I'd love to know what your shoedrobe would consist of and why!

The Work Out Shoe:
Since I've been going to the gym, my perfect shoedrobe definitely includes a pair of gorgeous workout trainers I think having the right gear is part of the inspiration. I love these Nike Shoes as they're bright and fun, and if you can't have fun workout gear then what's the point! JD offers some beautiful girly choices of workout shoes, which are always from amazing brands. The ones featured in the picture are these (find similiar here)..

The Evening Boot:
I love boots, I literally wear them for most things, I love these Boots from New Look, as they're simple to wear, have height which I totally need. Look great with just about anything from a little black dress to a pair of jeans and a nice top and can dressed up for an evening or even dressed down in the day with a skirt and some leggings, I love the idea of being able to dress up and dress down an outfit with a simple change and these boots definitely help this.

The Casual Boot:
Everyone needs a casual boot in their collection, perfect for pairing with jeans and coat throughout the winter months, I love these tasselled boots from Jones Bootmaker as they're a lovely colour and easy to style up or down.

The Day Shoe:
Walking around a lot and fancy something comfy? Vans have that extra comfort and always look amazing, I love this particular style of Vans as it's girly, comfy and the perfect style to wear with my jeans or a skirt, and makes a simple black outfit a bit more stylish and fun. Cloggs (Similar here) do a variety of styles and colours of Vans at a reasonable price.

The Heel:
Everyone needs a pair of heels in their wardrobe right? It's just something you have there, whether you wear it or not. I have loads of heels, I never bother to wear them on a night out because, ow pain much? But I love to have them lying around in case of the odd occasion I decide to wear them. New Look have a fab selection of heels of all different shapes and sizes.

The Expensive Shoe:
You've gone out and treated yourself to a pair of shoes you've always wanted, problem is their too expensive for you to warrant wearing in case you ruin them. The pair pictured are £795 and there is no way I'd want to wear those out and about in case I scuffed them or spilt something on them.

What I got for my 21st Birthday | Lifestyle

From my Whatsapp group, to the lovely bloggers on twitter this post was request a numerous amount of times so I thought it was only fair I shared it with you lot. I wanted to state I was well and truly spoiled due to it being my 21st Birthday and I usually wouldn't receive as many gifts as what I did this year. All of the gifts I received were super special to me and I loved every single one. Little bit of a disclaimer, please don't see this post as me bragging. I am simply sharing with you all of the amazing goodies which I got, like a haul basically. I hope you enjoy this haul and if you want to know about anything in more detail feel free to let me know in the comments.

For my birthday I did get some Birthday money and I bought these awesome books I've been lusting after for a while, I am currently stuck into Leave Your Mark and it's insanely good, full of tips and useful advice. I am planning on doing a review on them both once I've finished them.

Birthday Cards:
Is it just me who REALLY appreciates Birthday cards?! I love the fact that someone has taken the time to write a message to you, and that feels really personal and often lasts a lot longer than a Birthday present, I tend to keep my favourite 5 cards every year and keep them for the future. I love looking back at cards from years ago, always makes me smile.

Sweet Stuff:
I was originally just going to write sweets for the tittle but it turns out it is mostly not sweets, in the photograph anyways. I got an awesome popcorn pan which I am yet to use but it looks super fun and the packaging caught my eye. When me and Luke visited an American sweet shop in Birmingham I found some of my favourite chewing gum which Luke purchased for me, along with some mini nerds. Finally in the photograph is an adorable hotdog phone case from Paperchase, I love 'out there' phone cases.

Before Christmas my mum told me she wanted to get me something special for my 21st and asked me if I had any ideas, I've wanted a Michael Kors watch for ageeees so it seemed the obvious fit. The watch caught my attention because of it's big watch face, and the beautiful rose gold colour *blogger cliche much?* It is a great way to keep something special for a long time.

My Grandparents also bought me some beautiful charms, for my bracelet including a 21 charm and a floral clip and I love them both and they also treated me to a beautiful tiara ring which I have been wanting for a while and finally got and it hasn't left my finger since (unless the gym and showers count, then it has). My best friends Sophie and Kee brought me a gorgeous charm which I wasn't expecting and was so overwhelmed with how nice it was that I nearly cried. The final charm on my bracelet was from my uncle who gave me some money, and I decided it would be worth while me buying another charm as a keepsake for my 21st, this again isn't photographed but it is a beautiful cat bowl with an diamond encrusted fish bone inside of the bowl. Perfect gift for any cat lovers!

Workout Clothes:
Another present from Luke was some beautiful workout clothes including these beauties from Pink Soda who are a company who sell their stuff in JD it reminded me of the Victoria's Secret PINK clothing but I actually preferred this! The colours go really well together, and it gives me the freedom to be even more creative on the bottom half.

Make Up:
Of course some Make-up was going to make this list, I completely forgot to photograph the Kiko liners which were popped inside of the Make Up For Ever box, but I got 3 amazing colour liners. Along with two MAC lipsticks in the shades Viva Glam II and Plumful. I also got a lovely Nars setting powder and a MAC foundation which I didn't have at the time of photographing. Finally an amazing set from MUFE, which you can see pictured and includes mascara, eye-liner and waterproof makeup remover.

I hope you enjoyed this Birthday haul, I love reading them so I hope you do too!

Bloggers Who Inspire Me | Lifestyle

I was planning on doing one of these posts at the end of 2015 but life got in the way and I ended up running out of time, and I decided to give everyone a breather from these posts because there were far too many around and that is a lot of blogs to read and take in. So now at the end of January I am sharing with you the bloggers who inspire me or have inspired me in the past, this may be based on their blog or just on their personality but regardless you should totally check out their blogs and leave them some love!

Hello Miss
The first name that popped into my mind was Jordan, because on the day I wrote this she posted some gorgeous pics of her looking AMAZING in underwear and if I didn't know her personally I would legit think she is a model, she looks insane in her pics and always posts gorgeous outfit photos despite feeling self conscious about them, she is SO beautiful.

Little Fickle |
Sammy was the next person I knew had to include in this post, on her blog she talks about everything so openly from mental health to personal struggles and even same-sex relationships. She talks about things others would shy away from and it makes me feel super happy that is able to be so open about these things.

Hxanou |
This girl is one of the sweetest people I have had the chance to meet, and despite her chronic illness she is always full of happiness and brings a smile to my face. From the outside, you would never know what she suffers with on a daily basis, but she is a pure inspiration to me.

Polly's Pocket Book |
Polly is SUCH an inspiration, this lady has had a huge battle with cancer and every time I read her blog or her twitter she always so upbeat and doesn't let it beat her down. Most people would have given up but she keeps going and even stronger.

Cosy Bean |
Cosy bean blog is written by the lovely Sophie, during the year of 2015 I got to know Sophie quite well and I am a huge fan of her blog! She writes amazing posts about things such as Self Harm and Anxiety and isn't afraid to share her thoughts on the subject!

Sarah In Wonderland |
The final blog in my list is the lovely Sarah, who has been a massive inspiration to me throughout my time of knowing her. On her blog, she talks openly about her chronic illness and her daily struggles, but she doesn't complain about how they affect her life, in fact, the opposite being a role model for other spoonies. Sarah is also raising money for her power chair which would change her life so you should all donate if you can!

Deactivating Facebook | Lifestyle

Sitting at my PC, and I have the following tabs open: Twitter, Facebook, Blogger, Gmail, Instagram and my blog. For me those are the usual tabs I have open when I am sat at my desk doing work, but there is something about one of those tabs that is making me unsure and I think it is bringing a level of uneeded toxicity into my life. That tab is Facebook, whenever I go on Facebook I scroll down my feed countless times like most people do, occasionally comment on things, like things and chat during group chats which of course is the norm right? Unlike other social media I use such as Twitter and Instagram I find less of a positive vibe and more a negative one, when I comment something on twitter I'll receive lots of kind messages and replies whereas Facebook tends to be more rude comments or ignorance which I don't enjoy.

I do have thoughts maybe it's because it's people I know in real life so they say what they want during those conversations but I love the fact on other social media you get tons of lovely things from strangers who gain nothing from sending those nice things to you. Uploading a new picture to Twitter or Instagram a flooding of comments come in, such as you are so pretty, love your new glasses, you rock and on Facebook I get a few likes and no comments. I am not saying I expect everyone to comment on everything I do, but it just seems less worth it and like I shouldn't bother anymore. Scrolling down my news feed I find constant sharing of sad videos, horrible images and just things I really don't want to see which instantly puts a downer on my day, and I just think I hadn't of been on Facebook I never would of seen it. I am considering deactivating to see how many people get in contact when I am no longer available via Facebook it will be an interesting experiment that's for sure.

I am curious to know your thoughts on Facebook and if you still use it or never have done? Let me know in the comments!

Sephora Wishlist | Beauty

It feels like such a long time since I've done a wishlist and even longer since I've done a beauty one, today I thought I would bring you a Sephora wishlist. If you don't know who Sephora are they are a primarily based in America but it was launched in France in the 1970s. Sephora have stores around the world it would seem everywhere but England *sobs* I do a yearly order on their website around this time so it's looking like this stuff may get bought at some point, and if it doesn't it can stay on my lust list a little longer. I hope you enjoy this long over due wishlist post and let me know what is on your lust list.

Sephora + Pantone Universe Modern Water Color Palette:
When I saw this, I actually did a double take as it is so similar to a paint palette, and the colours are simply gorgeous and actually look like sweets, I would happily buy this palette as the shades are fun to mess around with and it is only $39 so a bit of a steal in my eyes.

Elsa and Anna Limited Edition Compact Mirror:
How gorgeous is this?! Oh my gosh my heart melted when I saw this pure beauty and although it is expensive for a pocket mirror the design makes it all worth it, and I seriously considering adding this to my basket as it needs to be mine.

Kat Von D Monarch Eyeshadow Palette:
A bit more pricey for an eyeshadow palette but it is a Kat Von D one so it is totally needed right? There is a few of her other products I need to pick up including another Tattoo liner and studded kiss lipstick as they're all insane and should totally come to the UK.

Re(marc)able foundation from Marc Jacobs:
I've heard some seriously amazing things about this foundation and how fabulous it is, and I am always on the lookout for a new foundation the only problem I have with this is being able to pick a colour online for the foundation and for $55 I'd like to get it right.

Sephora Favourites Time To Prime:
The Sephora favourites sets are always amazing value for money often having more than double the value than what you pay for. This set is $25 for $51 dollars worth of primers, it's also the perfect way to trial high end products without going for a full splurge on something you may not like.

Bite beauty lipstick:
I tried a mini version of one of these lipsticks from a Sephora favourites sets back in 2014 and I haven't been able to match the brightness and staying power what I got from Bite Beauty, at $24 I totally need some more in my life!

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks | Beauty

It's been a long while since I've raved about any drugstore lipsticks on my blog so I decided it was time to change that. Recently I became acquaintances with these color sensational lipsticks from Maybelline and although they are a fabulous brand I didn't expect the pure wow factor that I received from them. So I thought it was only fair to do a review so you guys can appreciate the awesomeness too!

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks

The color sensational lipsticks come in at £6.99 which is a bargain price for lipstick as I am used to paying high end prices of £15.00, upwards. I do love buying cheaper lipsticks as I can buy more colour varieties and have more to match with my outfits! I am normally drawn to the pinks and reds and this was no exception but I did go for a brown also which is very unlike me but I fancied a more nude shade for when I am not feeling going all out. All the lipsticks which I picked are matte shades which I have been loving lately so I was more than to get some new ones for my collection. I went for the shades Nude Embrace, Rose Rush, Craving Coral, Siren Scarlett and Magnetic Magenta and the shade names make them even more luscious especially Craving Coral and Siren Scarlett. The lipsticks are not overly drying or hard to apply like some matte lipsticks can be, I found them simple to apply and they have a long lasting staying power *yay*.

When applying of the lipsticks I found that they did not bleed which is a pro as a lot of cheaper lipsticks tend to bleed which ruins them for me. I also found that they did not cling to the dry areas of my lips and I found them to be a similar smell and formula to some of my matte MAC lipsticks and a perfect high street alternative. I love how bright the colours are on my lips as some can look bright in the packaging and then dull on lips but these paid off. Final thing which is the most disappointing part of the product is the packaging I find the black packaging a bit of a let down and I think they could do a lot more with this to make it more appealing to their audience. I am also happy that the shades on the bottom actually represent what is inside the tube as more than half of the times I look at the bottom of lipsticks they look nothing like what is in the tube.

If you are looking for a new budget buy, you should totally treat yourself to one of these beauties!

My Top Winter Lipsticks | Beauty

If you've been reading my blog for a while or know me in real life you'll know I am obsessed with dark lipsticks especially purple ones and I have so many lipsticks I decided it was time for another insight into my draw of lipsticks and what colours I love to wear during the winter months. Although this post does say lipsticks there is one lip stain to go with them because I love it so much and it's such a lovely red. I would love to know what you think of my choices and if you would wear any of these colours?

GOSH matte lipstick in shade Plum:
I adore this shade firstly because it's a deep purple and secondly because it has an amazing price tag, I love all GOSH lipsticks as they are an amazing price for the quality and they last ages once applied which I can find not always the case with drugstore lipsticks. Although I haven't always been a fan of matte lipsticks I am starting to grow into them and I am always reaching for this shade when I go out in the day. It's an easy to shade to pull of as opposed to some of the shades in this list and it's a great purple lipstick to start with if you are unsure about purples. The smell of the lipstick smells similar to the MAC ones so another bonus right?

GOSH lipstick in Plum

MAC Herione:
This is hands down my favourite lipstick ever and I wear it throughout the year, but it's a perfect shade for winter a bit brighter than the previous lipstick by GOSH but still a lovely purple all the same, another matte lipstick and the one that made me fall in love with matte lipsticks. I find winter lipsticks always tend to be matte for some reason which I am starting to love. I don't find this lipstick drying at all which is good as some MAC matte lipsticks can be. I have to say this lipstick lasts all day and looks as good at the end of the day as at the start and I find myself hardly using any of it when I apply it so it's well worth the money.

MAC herione lipstick

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Hot pepper:
Although this lipstick is completely different from my other picks in the fact that it is bright red, it is another Matte choice, the difference between this product and the others is it is a lip stain. You apply the lip stain like lip gloss and after a few seconds it dries to your lips just like a lipstick and has a massively long staying power, I do often like to apply gloss on the top of this as it gives you an extra luxurious feel but without is just as great. This is a bright red so maybe not for those who are scared to pull of a bright lip colour, but perfect for those who fancy a challenge.

Wet N Wild Coffee Buzz:
Now although you can't buy this one in the UK I thought I would add it to the list as it's such a gorgeous favourite of mine and it actually looks black in the picture but it's actually a dark Maroon on the verge of being brown which is a little different from the others but still awesome all the same. Another matte lipstick, and not as long lasting as the others but still really pretty and looks amazing if you like dark lippies.

Wet N Wild Coffee Buzz

For some reason the picture of the Milani lipstick went missing but I thought I would still give it a mention in this post, the shade which is picture in the top photo is sangria and is a similar shade to Herione, but doesn't smell quite as nice and has a less longer staying power but at the same time it's still amazing for those winter days and a fixture in my handbag.

Why you NEED to watch Making A Murderer | Lifestyle

The series that is on everyone's lips, Making A Murderer. The series came out on December 18th and nearly everyone has watched it and I can't say I blame them, I am one of those people who have watched it. I am trying not to include too many spoilers in this post only things which are well known and splattered all over the web, Usually this would be a pat on the back for the producers for creating such a well watched series, which people are obsessed with watching in record time, with millions of views. But this is actually someones life and it's real so the reason it's SO popular is because people want to know the truth about what happened to Steve Avery after being wrongly framed and spending 18 years in jail for a crime he didn't commit, and being convinced he was framed (which in my opinion he totally was) after getting off one crime less than two years later ending up in jail for a second one which again seems like a total framing which is disgusting and horrible case of injustice. Since the series kicked off, there has been over 400,000 signatures on a petition to free Steve Avery and his nephew Brandon Dassey which I totally think should happen.

Image from Netflix

So the reasons why you need to watch Making A Murder:
  • If you love crime documentaries or series' this will be one for you and it's ten episodes of constant attention grabbing footage.
  • You get hooked and keep watching (with most people watching all ten episodes in 2 days!)
  • Shows how corrupt the police can be, which gets your mind thinking.
  • Again you spend the whole time without breaking the focus
  • To loose your voice- you spend SO much time screaming at the TV in anger, you pretty much are guaranteed to loose your voice.

The Jeans Weekender | Fashion

I've wanted to post this post forever but I kept getting busy with university, and being ill and then Christmas so it's taken me so long to finally get around it finishing it, so I apologize for this! The post is in collaboration with Asda and their Jeans section at George. The idea behind the post is create outfits for an entire weekend based around the same pair of jeans, my idea would be to create a look for Saturday Day, Saturday Evening and Sunday and even though they involve the same pair of jeans the outfits are completely different. Everything featured on this post is available to buy at Asda now or it was in the past. I would love to know your favourite look and if you like to style jeans up also?

For Saturday if I go out I like to keep it casual with a pair of jeans and a tee, my wardrobe is always overflowing with tees so I try to go through them on the weekends. When I go shopping I like to take a big bag to put stuff in that I buy so I thought this oversized black bag would do the job perfectly. Finally the outfit is finished with a simple pair of pumps which are perfect for keeping your feet comfy whilst having a long day out, I used to wear boots or heels but walking around for hours on end, hurt my feet way too much.

This outfit is for Saturday evening, I love it because it's still pretty casual but can be dressed up with certain items. I am a huge fan of long checked shirts and they make me feel comfortable and I thought this shirt was a perfect pairing for the jeans so I decided to put them together. You can make the outfit a bit more glam with over the knee boots as they make any outfit look more dressed up and finally a smaller over the body bag to keep your purse and phone in.

As Sunday is a day for chill, if you are forced to go out for anything, effort is kept to a minimum with an oversized black tee, and warm cosy hoodie and a pair of fluffy socks. Easy to put on and perfect to chill in whilst watching Netflix in the afternoon. If you are planning on eating a lot I would recommend switching out the jeans to tracksuit bottoms!

Stamp out loneliness | Lets talk

It's 2016 and there are still so many people who are spending their days alone, and it is the older generation who are suffering the worst which is nothing new. It is awful to hear about the amount of old people who spend everyday alone after loosing a loved one or having a lack of family living close and it makes me sad to think about. That is why Sunrise Senior Living is trying to stamp out loneliness, did you know over a million older people go a month without speaking to anyone which is a disgusting and sad statistic in itself. It's so easy to make a change to someones life, simply by the picking up the phone and saying hello, visiting and elderly neighbour and stopping by for a chat or even volunteering at an event. I know not everyone has a lot of time on their hands but donations are also an amazing way to help. A while back I got asked to take part in a challenge from Campaign To End Lonliness where I hosted a dinner party for an older person in my life or that I knew, but sadly being a student I don't really live near any including my family so I suggested a spin on the challenge. Which was I host a dinner party for my student friends, hear me out here. Students are forever lonely too, being away from home and sometimes not having their friends around it can be a super lonely time so I thought it would be an amazing idea to get us together and host a little bit of a dinner party. Unfortunately life got in the way and it has taken me like 3 months to manage to host this dinner party as my friends have been busy and so have I with deadlines but I finally managed to get the party hosted *cheers*

For the dinner party I decided to create a risotto with a cheese and tomato tart, the reason I went for a risotto as it's a dish a lot of people like and it's easier to whip in bulk and with me and some of my friends being vegetarians it seemed like the easiest option to do. I let all of my friends know the reason for me hosting the meal and also explained a bit more about how you can really change the life of someone from one simple thing and like myself they were shocked by the stats I presented to them about how much time the older generation spend alone, striking a want to help amongst them so it felt like a dinner party with a difference in my eyes. I couldn't end the post without sharing a picture of my super yummy risotto and cheese and tomato tart could I?

P.S. Remember how easily you can change a life with just a smile and a chat!

Brand Focus: Soap and Glory | Beauty

It's been a long time coming but I have finally gotten round to featuring Soap And Glory on my blog and to be honest I have no idea why I haven't featured them sooner because every product I have tried by them has been AMAZING. So today I decided I would share a bit of info on the brand themselves and also talk about some of their best products (hard choice, I know) and I hope you enjoy learning about this fabulous brand I hope they make their way into your makeup bag sometime soon.

Soap and Glory is available from Boots and they are budget friendly especially for the quality of the products, ranging from £3.50 to £12.00. They are a well known brand and many other bloggers rave about their Soap and Glory Archery Brows and also Kick Ass powder and concealer which I totally agree with as they're all amazing. I find their products long lasting, and work really well with most people. I love the Kick Ass concealer as I find it super high quality and always reach for it over a high end alternative. Their lipsticks are beyond amazing and SO long lasting, I own so many of these and I am always drawn in by the packaging of the lipstick which is black and can be metallic dependant on whether the shade is matte or not. Their lipsticks come in a range of amazing colours and always smell divine. All their products always look amazing and to me represent a good quality product for what they stand for and the women they feature on their packaging always look classic.

Soap and Glory also feature a large amount of skin products including their signature body butter the righteous butter which is outta this world! Along with other things such as Serums and bath products which makes them a super diverse company and I am always drawn to their bright pink and gold packaging as it catches my eye. If you are yet to try Soap and Glory or hadn't heard of them until this post I'd totally recommend trying their Make-up products first, possibly start with one of their lipsticks or mascara as they are totally insane and will have you hooked and wanting to buy all of your makeup from them. At times I do think the brand isn't given as much credit as it deserves but it's totally worth your money and your time, trust me!

Why I give up with New Years Resolutions | Lifestyle

It's that time again when New Years resolutions come into play, and although some people do somehow manage to keep their resolutions most people set unrealistic goals that end up failing a few days into January. Some manage to keep their resolutions going a bit longer even into February which is impressive by all means.

I like the idea of change but I know a lot of expectations come with a resolution and how disappointed you get when you fail at it. Last year I set two resolutions the first being to eat healthy and start fitness which is what most people go for, and I actually managed it for four months before slowly falling back into my old eating habits which I have to admit I was a little bit gutted about. Secondly to be a vegetarian again and I am actually still sticking to that which is one I find very easy as I led a pretty vegetarian diet anyways.

So this year, I don't plan on making any resolutions as it's just extra pressure on myself that I don't need, instead I am going to set myself some reasonable targets I want to reach at some point, it may not happen this year it may take years but the list is there for me to work my way through, and this makes me happy. I was considering sharing the goals with you lot, but I think it would feel better for me if I kept them to myself. I will let you in one of them though, and that one is to find out what career path I want to take as I finish uni in May and still have no idea where to go from there *argh* so hopefully I can set my mind to finding out where I want to go career wise. OH and of course I'll be attempting to work out at some point this year, but not in January as it's my birthday and that means going out for meals and eating cake so...

Happy new year folks!
