Inspirational Women- Becky Bedbug

Last week I interviewed the lovely Ellie Steadman, and this week I am interviewing the gorgeous Becky Bedbug and I am super excited to do so! Being one of my friends in the blogging world, I was excited to find out what she had to say:

Introduce yourself and your blog!
I'm Becky, a Hampshire-based blogger at I'm a pink-loving, 2005-era emo kid who will one day marry Alan Rickman. Facts.

Where did Becky Bedbug come from?
When I was a baby/ kid, my dad called me Becky Bedbug. I have no idea why but it stuck and seemed a natural choice for my blog. He also called me Snorkel but that doesn't work quite as well for a blog name!

What is it like being a figure within the blogging community I feel you are a massive role model and a lot of people look up to you?
Blooming 'eck! I don't know! This isn't something I really think about myself. Obviously I'm pretty active on Twitter and in the chats but I don't think of myself as a role model. I do try to help people though, like with my CBT series.

What made you decide to host all the chats you do?
I only host two! Lots of people seem to think I host loads but it's only #fbloggers and #bookbloggers. I started hosting #fbloggers about 2 years ago when the host didn't appear and there were lots of confused people waiting for a topic. I just made one up and took it on but the same thing happened the next week and the next week. After a while, the original host got in touch to thank me for taking it on so I was glad I didn't step on her toes! With #bookbloggers, the original host couldn't continue with it so she asked if I would mind taking it on at the beginning of the year. So I've never actually started a chat. I've just commandeered them!

What is your favourite Harry Potter film?
Is it really bad that I rate my favourite films on Snapeability? (Totally a word btw) My favourite is probably Half Blood Prince because Snape. Obvs.

If you could only read 3 books for the rest of your life what would you pick?
I don't even need to think about this! I have three favourite books and I could read them over and over again:

-Of Mice and Men- John Steinbeck

-A Clockwork Orange- Anthony Burgess
-Plays- Philip Ridley

Share an interesting fact about yourself?
I've never burped! I don't even know how. I genuinely think my body is incapable of burping. Weird, right?

Finally how do you see the future for Becky Bedbug
Right now, I'm feeling inspired to go back to my roots and share more personal style. Originally, Becky Bedbug was a place to share what I wore every day but this has changed so much over the years that I barely post outfits anymore. It's a shame because I love it and, as a plus-size girl, I want to put myself out there more.
