Dealing With Stress | Lets Talk

Happy Wednesday, how are we all doing? As it is Wednesday you should know by now that I take this day to talk about issues and things which are important to me, I feel like these posts are rewarding and I will never stop talking about things which need talking about. Today's topic is all about stress. Stress is triggered by many different things, some people are great with dealing with being under pressure others find it a lot harder and feel very stressed and upset. To me I deal with stress when I feel like I am under pressure to do something which I feel unsure about, it can often happen to me at work when I am given a lot of tasks in a short space of time or after speaking to somebody who is getting mad at me for something which is out of my control.

So many people are effected by stress on a daily basis but what about those who can't handle it, it can be a lot more serious than feeling under pressure. Some people use smoking and drinking to cope with their stress because it helps to calm them down and feel more together, I know that a lot of people smoke when they feel like they're under an immense amount of pressure or are dealing with something which is out of their control. Some people cannot cope with the stress at all and their body shuts down, some examples of this are chest pain, pulling out your hair and increased levels of anger. if you feel like you are suffering with stress it is important that you go to see your doctor, it may not seem like a big deal but more people suffer than you realise and it will be taken seriously. For those who are suffering with hair loss there are ways to fix it and give you confidence back such as FUE hair transplants which is something to be considered if you are suffering with a lot of hair loss or it is damaging your confidence. Although taking some chill time may not be the answer to your stress it is important to take some time for yourself from time to time, and just take a breather, even though it may not fix the problem over all it gives you fresh eyes to start again when you are ready and it gives your body time to relax and get to grips with what is going.

If you feel like you are struggling or need somebody to talk to there are so many people willing to help and lines you can call to get help such as Mind and Samaritans, please don't suffer alone.

  1. Good topic! My work is so stressful there is always a deadline or 5 looming! Personally I find going to the gym a stress reliever

  2. I'm usually pretty calm in work and don't get myself worked up or stressed, I've been in a high stress job for 9 years now that I just don't feel the stress anymore lol but as soon as something little happens in my personal life I have a complete meltdown! I find the gym or any form of exercise makes me a lot better or even just putting some music on and going for a bath really relaxes me.

  3. I think a lot of people don't realise how dangerous stress can be, it's so important to take care of ourselves and learn healthy ways to unwind! :)

  4. I do not deal with stress very well but sonce having anxiety last year have learnt a couple of coping methods which help a lot x

  5. I've sort of learnt to manage stress in my own ways - it can be really hard though!

  6. I have a lot of issues with stress and having an illness where your body cant physically cope with stress is hard for me to live with. It is dangerous and can affect health in bad ways.

  7. Im not very good at managing stress especially with everything that i have going on just now. Ive actually just signed up to a stress management group to try and relax x

  8. I suffer with stress, unfortunately it led to depression. I'm now hoping the worst is over, especially since I found meditation :)

  9. I always have deadlines to meet so it can be very stressful trying to meet them although I am the one that sets them for myself so I can't really complain.

  10. I'm always so stressed as I have a lot going on. I find exercise and meditation helps.

  11. Stress is the utter worst and it's horrid when it starts to show and manifest in physical ways such as hair loss ;( I tend to find my eczema (or stressma as I call it) tends to flair up - then I know it's time to chill and take a bit of time out. Time out is so important as is speaking to friends and family to thrash it out.

    Thanks for sharing!
