I am continuing to fulfil my promise of more travel posts in 2016 on my blog; and I thought this next one would be the perfect match for that category. If you read until the end you could be in with a chance of winning a trip to the Lake District. So today's post is all about the amazing Ullswater region and the sustainable travel options for travelling around the Lake. The idea is to encourage green travel in Ullswater and today I am going talk a little bit more about  the sustainable travel options on offer and the fun things you can do whilst at the Lake.

Ullswater itself is a beautiful lake (the second biggest in England) with wonderful scenery There is something amazing and unique about this lake, you can take lake cruises via the Ullswater ‘Steamers’ steam boots and combine these with some of the best walks around the Lakes. The Lakes itself is a perfect place to take a relaxed break in England away from the city, made up of luscious walks and lots of other fun things to do. Whilst visiting it is possible to buy a combined ticket for all methods of travel which encourages visitors to leave their cars at home. The idea behind this is to keep tourism in Ullswater as eco-friendly as possible.

The combined ticket includes train, bus and boat which saves you money as well as reducing your carbon footprint. You can find out more about this here. Travelling on the Steamers is an experience within themselves running 363 days a year, with some excellent facilities aboard including bars! Whilst aboard the Steamers you can have the chance to view some of the highest mountains that Lakeland has to offer. Cruises can vary in length from 20 minutes up to 120, dependant on which route you take.

Now to the giveaway which involves a two night stay  in Ullswater and also includes tickets to use the Ullswater ‘Steamers’ and half a day use of a Renault Twizy to use at the Waterfoot park! To enter all you need to do is fill out the Rafflecopter below.
